I just talked to Donnie and he's ecstatic. Almost in disbelief.

Now him and his dad are forever etched in the history of the Little 5.

Best of luck to him Saturday. Unfortunately, that race takes more luck than anything.

Mike, aka MSPN, aka Nelly, aka all Posse fan's nemesis, I tried calling to tell you after talking to Donnie but apparently you changed you number. Either that or Aletha (?) stole your phone. Give me a ring.

Yo' racinartist, what GREAT news, we both know who's got the biggest smile up in Heaven today, woo hoo! This gives me a great reason to keep up with results, is there a place to follow the race on the net?

After not living in the country for about a year and a half I finally had the USA cell turned off, drop me a line if you would like the Canadian version, all the best, kudos again to Donnie Jr and the team. Take It Easy....

PS No Posse talk until the big dogs visit again in July.....

Does anyone know if Donnie Jr. has named the car 'Sarah' or has the word Sarah on it anywhere as a tribute to his Father? Sure would like to know and sure would like to see that infectious 'Smile' on Sr. right now, may he RIP. Take It Easy.....

Hey Mike. I didn't ask. That was always yours and Donnie's deal so I never even thought of it. I would think Donnie Jr didn't either but who knows. Smile I told him I would be calling you to give the good news and he DID say that he would like to talk to you sometime.

Speaking of that infectuous smile, I talked to his nephew Chance yesterday and he has the identical laugh that Donnie had. It's downright freaky, man. If you heard it, you would get chills down your spine. He says everyone tells him that he sounds just like his uncle. He kinda' looks like him too.

I hope to someday see Jr. again and tell him just how special his Father was and how well respected by his fellow racers he was as well. The Sarah Smile connection and related stories alone would keep us busy for some time. Here's hopin' he can stay relaxed and calm amongst the chaos of that many sprinters in so little space, go get 'em son. Take It Easy....

Am I missing something? I don't see a single report on Little 500 quals on the Hoseheads homepage? It may not be on dirt but it's still one of the biggest sprint car races of the year and I don't even see a mention. What gives?

It's probably due to the unfortunate mind set of most of those associated with posting on this site.

Sadly, if it doesn't have a wing on it, or if it isn't from Iowa, it's assumed to be unimportant.

MSPN- Since Jr. started running the sprints, they have all had 'Sarah Smile' on them.  Here's a picture of the tail tank I took with my cell phone just a couple months ago.  I had to put it as the icon because I couldn't get it to copy on to the post?

Jersey- It was nice talking with you last night.

We're loaded up and READY TO GO!

Man, that about chokes me up, it was Donnie and my favorite song and for years we had no idea that the other liked it. Then we went through a period where if one heard it on the radio he had to call the other guy and stick it to the phone and laugh like crazy in the background. I never told him but I had it on a casette in the car and when I hadn't heard from him in a while I would stick it in and then phone him, lol. What a great guy and I sure hope Donnie Jr. has some better luck the next few years vs. the kind he's had the past few! Take It Easy.....
