The following was posted on my message board concerning long-time super modifed/champ dirt/sprint car owner Danny King, father of the late Steve King. Please keep Danny in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.

I know alot of people in this area know Danny since he has owned a sprint car for what seems like ever. I just wanted to let those that do know him know that he suffered a heart attack yesterday afternoon. He was taken to Hays, Kansas to their heart specialist and is in ICU. I haven't received any updates recently, but I'm trying to find something out.

An update posted on my message board just a few minutes ago...

Just talked to a friend that went and visited him today. He didn't have a heart attack like they first had thought. He has a very large blood clot in his heart. He is hanging in there and fighting through is like only DK can
