Hi, I am Dale McCarty's wife and requesting anyone who remembers him from racing to send a birthday card and write a small note. He will be 80 on Aug 3rd. I'm 57 and from Hutchinson, KS and remember Dale in the early 60's at Mohawk Speedway. I have no prove but I'm thinking he ran #9 back then.
As a kid I had my dirt track in the lawn under a shade tree. I was the announcer, track prep guy, wrecker driver and motors for all the cars. Dale always was in my A-Features.
I can remember in the 70's I seen the name Dale McCarty just knew it was the same Dale. I asked someone and sure enough he had moved to the KC area and continued his racing even bigger and better than it was in Hutchinson. Up until a couple of years ago I was still reading the name Dale McCarty in the results.
