Schneiderman Boys 'Heat' Up
(West Burlington, IA – 7/19/2011) Josh Schneiderman came, o so close to his first 410 win this past Saturday night at the Knoxville Raceway. The Deuce Motorsports #49 led the first 12 laps before being passed on a lap 13 restart. Schneiderman fought back hard, but settled for the runner-up position in his Automotive Machine powered, Engler Injected, J&J Chassis.
"We had a great car all night long," commented the 23 year old, "The feature was no different as we shot out to the lead and had a great chance to win it there at the end." Schneiderman darted out to the lead from his front row starting spot and quickly began to put space between himself and the 2nd place car.
After a lap 4 restart, Josh quickly pulled away from the field again until the caution waved with 8 laps to go. "With the restart lurking, I really had to concentrate on holding off Lasoski. In the end his experience really worked in his favor." Over the next 8 laps Josh would battle close with Lasoski, but come up just short at the finish line.
"All in all it was a great run for our team," said the UNI graduate, "We have been getting better week by week and this Saturday really helped to give us more momentum. I have to thank my team for all their hard work and Tyler Swank for coming on board this last week and helping us out. We are hitting our stride when it counts and we are excited to get back to the race track this weekend!"
Jarrod was back in action in his Deuce Motorsports #88 Bobby Jacks powered J&J machine against the tough competition the 360 class has to offer. Jed posted a great qualifying time and then led his heat race flag to flag to set him up for an 11th place start in the A-Main. After racing in the top ten the whole race 'Woody' slipped back to 11th at the checkers. "We were fast all night and have gained a lot of ground in the last few weeks," commented Jarrod, "I'm really excited for the rest of the season."
With solid finishes for both teams this past weekend, Josh and Jarrod will be back in action at Knoxville this Saturday night. Josh will be making a stop at the Bloomfield Speedway on Friday night to race 360s before heading to Knoxville.
