I have been to the knoxville nationals for 18 years straight. It is the highlight of our summer vacations. What would be another racing event that would be a lot of fun. We have talked about doing something different and with the change in the new format at knoxville I think we will try something different next year. The scrambles were one of the highlights of the program as far as I was concerened. It was something that made the nationals different. What are some of your favorites? Maybe you can point me in the right direction. I'm even open to different types of racing. Can't believe I just printed that. I've been hardcore dirt track racing but times change, just like the nationals format.

The Knoxville Nationals is the premier sprint car racing event. If you're not enjoying yourself enough there, then you won't at any dirt racing event.

USAC midget week. Most of the tracks will run wingless sprints at the support class.

My goal from here in Dallas is to make the Indiana Sprint Speed Week one of these days. I need a non-wing fix.

Never said I didn't enjoy. We had talked about something different and the scramble decision just pushed us over the edge. I like strawberry malts but I like butterscotch also. Just wanted to make it clear, I have had so much fun at the nationals over the years but maybe its time to try something different. The scrambles were something that made the nationals unique.

You're not the only asking the question. Good luck.

Since the OP said he is open to different forms of racing, I heartily recommend the World 100 at Eldora if you are within a reasonable driving distance. Absolutely amazing atmosphere and it is Knoxville Nationals of the Late Model world.
