Yes that frisky Eleanor could get that way when tequila was in the room.

I ran into Earl in Knoxville one year and told him that I had heard the Kings Royal was a great race. He replied, "If you had made it there, it would have been even better."

I thought it would be cool to read famous racing quotes through out the years. So add as many as you can think of.
Anyone can drive a fast car; few can drive a car fast.

I remember after steve kinser won his 20th world of outlaws championship, on speed they asked him how special it was, his reply," I don't know but it's a nice even number" thought that was funny

"When I raced a car last it was at a time when sex was safe and racing was dangerous. Now, it’s the other way round." – Hans Stuck......... Keep them coming. Nice to read the classic quotes!

This one's actually mine. The first time I met Candace who is now Andy Forsberg's wife she was sitting on the left rear tire of a car (can't remember which one) after the races at Chico one night many years ago. She stands up and tries to pat whatever she assumes is on her jeans after she was sitting on that tire and turns her back to me saying "is there any dirt on my butt?". Without pause I said "Can't tell - your pants are in the way". Fortunately her twin sister Crystal was there to explain who I was and that I didn't necessarily need to die at that moment :-).

"I guess I ran it too hard" -Jac
After catching the fence at Sharon Speedway in the 80's and flipping to the flag stand on the 3rd lap of the feature.
"You know that 9 car had this thing won until he stepped on himself." Joe Deihl in Victory Lane over the loud speaker at Clinton County.

Another Hewitt quote: "Nobody pays to watch you run the bottom!"
Roger Rager about an upcoming non-wing race and his advice to another driver: "You'd better bring your biggest set of balls!"

Heard a classic just last night at the Jackson speedway. After a hard crash the pit announcer was broadcasting over the PA system to the crowd "I see a lot of fluids in the cockpit of this car. It could be motor oil or perhaps fluid from the radiator." The fan sitting behind me casually (but wisely) added "it could be urine". Classic.

The famous car racing driver’s quotes that I like most is “Circumstances may cause interruptions and delays, but never lose sight of your goal. Prepare yourself in every way you can by increasing your knowledge and adding to your experience, so that you can make the most of opportunity when it occurs.”
