The Hoosier Tire California 360 Civil War Series returns to the Petaluma Speedway 3/8ths this weekend, and the season point race couldn't be much closer when point leader Andy Forsberg tries to stay atop the point standings at a track he's very familiar with. Forsberg, driving the Bradway/Tuccelli owned F&F racing #x1 presently clings to a 4 point lead over recent Civil War #7 winner, Visalia's Steven Tiner. Tiner's BR Motorsports, King Racing Products #94 found it's way into victory lane at the recent Civil War race at Placerville Speedway, and despite Forsberg's 3 main event wins versus Tiner's 1 win this season, Tiner remains well within range of Forsberg, who is shooting for his 6th overall Civil War 360 title. Over 40 cars are expected at this event, as racers have hugely supported this series all year long throughout Northern California.
Also returning to Petaluma Speedway for a second straight weekend are the Wingless Sprint Cars, fresh off an exciting night last Saturday when Terry Schank, Jr. won the main event over the legendary Jimmy Sills with a late race pass. Dwarf Cars will round out the card for a night of do not miss racing.
Gates around 4:30pm and racing around 6pm.
