It's rare when you can type the word "Interesting" in relation to Speed Channel, but this was a good feature on how sprint car drivers from the WoO choose their racing line. The same segment also has highlights from Dodge City. The video doesn't do justice to Dollansky's Friday night pass of Sammy.

I take it that paid the price of admission for both nights?
I am awaiting the USAC sprint car two day show myself up there.

And your mentioning of Dollansky's pass is the one thing that I feel sets sprint car racing apart from other types of racing.
The speed, split second decisions on what move to make and where to run on the track. The calculated passes and decisions in lapped traffic that you have to make with no room for error because, if you do, you will be sent flipping or causing alot of damage.
There are those moves that leave you sitting there with your mouth open wondering how the hell did that just happen.

Still thinking myself of heading to Indiana sprint weeks next week. Seven races in nine nights and it is all non-wing.

You're killing me, Cat. That's the No. 1 event on my bucket list. If you go, we'll be awaiting a full report.
