Opps, a little correction here, I just got off the phone with Mike Barnette, he wants to kick in $50.00 towards the memory of Bill Pratt and asked the question.."why lap 15, why not 12", I suddenly realized I mixed up Bill and Walt, it is lap 12 that will be honored for Mr. Pratt not lap 15, and the leader of lap 12 will have an envelope with at least $150.00 thanks to Mike and Anne Wilkerson. Also the conversation came up about trophies, in addition to the USAC trophy, the main event winner will take home the large 30 year old Silver Platter (mentioned on a previous post) that was won by the Jack Kindoll team, and the winner of the Walt James Last Man Standing dash will take home a very nice silver platter that was an Ascot Trophy Dash trophy from 1979 and second place in the dash will take home a smaller one that is also from Ascot, it is not dated but goes back to probably the early 80's. Again, a big THANK YOU to Mike Barnette.

Excuse me if this post shows up twice, my original seems to have vanished, Mike Barnette has raised the tally in the memory of Bill Pratt to $150.00 with his additional $50.00. The lap honoring Bill is lap 12 (not lap 15 as I originally posted, I had Bill's number 12 mixed up with the number 15 that we normally would consider to represent Walt James) a BIG THANK YOU to Mike and also again to Ann Wilkerson for sponsoring lap 12 in Bill's honor.

LeftyLen put up $100.00 going to the winner of the Main Event, with Oxy 19 it looks like there will be another $100.00 that my guess is would also go to the winner of the Main Event...

Hey Oxy, THANK YOU for your support, I would prefer to keep really close tabs on the sponsors and list them in the program, I'll have an envelope for your cash with Oxy19 on it and list your name that way unless you would rather me use a real name...which I have no idea what that would be.

Hey Chris, I will find you at the track on race day. I'm with Lefty Len most of the time. I prefer to to just go by my handle.
