Does anyone know if there will be a Sprint Bandits week tour this year? Nothing has been announced. Last year's show at the Bowl was my favorite show all year. Was looking forward to that being one of the few dirt shows I would attend but now, I guess that too has been taken away. WTF? Guess I should learn to love modifieds or traveling to the edges of the earth for two barrels with little wings that train around the bottom of a rubbered down track.

Think I heard they have gone away. Thought I also heard that USAC was making it hard on its drivers to participate. USAC's 410s will be in Dodge City in August.

Jeff, Kenny is right on with this one. No bandit shows. USAC was threating drivers that they would take thier national points away if they ran any of the sprint bandit shows. Robert Ballou and USAC had a very interesting conversation about this.
If anyone remembered when Ballou won at Creek he made a mention of this ordeal.
You can drive about 12 hours next week and see a week long non wing action during Indiana Sprint Week. Majority of tracks during the week are all 1/4 miles tracks.

Cat -- guessing if Ballou wants to show up in Dodge, USAC will gladly take his entry fee. Too bad that door doesn't swing both ways. And who gets the bad end of that deal? The fans.
