How many times can these people hold a WoO event that includes time-trials, 3 heats, a dash, a b-main and an A-main in 5-6 hours? Last night in Princeton was another example of this. Last weekend in Grand Forks, with the threat of rain on Friday, they got the show done in just over 2 hours. The next night, with no threat of rain, it was more like 5 hours. Not to mention their "death-lock" on their so called territory. Do you realize how many promoters in the upper mid-west would like to have a WoO show? Yet are told they cant because it is SLS territory? These people are literally ruining our sport right in front of our eyes, and the sad part about it is that the World Racing Group is letting it happen. If ANY promoter that currently does not have a WoO show at their track wants to have a WoO show, they HAVE to go through SLS if it is in the midwest. How is this good for the sport? WRG needs to open this up and SLS needs to continue to provide a promoting service. SLS also needs to let other track promoters do what they do if they choose to, that being promote.

Princeton is what it is. I've been going to weekly shows there on and off for quite a few years and rarely ever get out of there until around midnight. It's small, sometimes they have to work the track and the place has a reputation of getting drivers hot under the collar. What has SLS got to do with that?
Knowing that little joint like I do I'll never forget my reaction the first time they announced the WoO was coming. "They're going where?" I had to do a double take, I couldn't believe it. The Dollanskys had a personal stake in the deal, that's home for them so there was a little more TLC on their part because they knew the place. The first time I met Craig has was in a body cast after his Indy crash watching a 360 race and that's the night that got the ball rolling on the deal.
The place has a rich Sprint car and open wheel tradition and it has always been rough and tumble. I don't expect luxury when I go there and I have never been disappointed.

I'd feel ripped off if the show was " just over two hours"; but of course I feel I'm late if the water trucks not still on the track, and the ticket window is already open.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

I believe SLS is being honored for sticking w/ the WoO when promoters didn't want to take a chance on promoting a few years ago. This group stepped up to the plate to help the WoO keep going through a thin time. Just a couple cents for you all.

Not sure how much SLS controls track prep, but over an hour (total) was spent re-working the track twice. It needed to be done as there was basically no cushion left and cars were sliding off the top of the track. (and not just those who didn't have short track experience) Seems to be a normal situation when the WOO comes to Princeton and Cedar Lake. I can't think of another track that seems to need as much rework during the night.

SLS and sprint car racing in general is about passing the buck. Not my fault. "I only had control over..."
Easy to see why there are no true corporate sponsors on sprint cars out side of TSR and Kahne. And the only reason they have corporate money is because of the name STEWART and KAHNE.

I purchased tickets online for the WoO show at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City for my 12 year old son and I only to wait in line for an hour to find out only one of the tickets I purchased actually had a seat. We were suppose to have seats 38 and 39 but 39 ended-up being the steps. My son took the seat and I sat in the isle only to have a security officer tell me I had to move. When I showed him the ticket he said there wa nothing he could do. Pretty frutrating because I never could get anyone from SLS to return my email with my complaint.

I dont know who was responsible with the seating at Princeton, I saw alot of seating issues with people in wrong sect. etc. I never saw any type of usher to help solve the problems. I think in the future it would really help to have ushers to help control the seating.

I was comfortable in my folding chair down in the infield but I suppose that's cheating.

There really is not any acceptable excuse for this type of management. I know of 2 people that will never go to Princeton again and more then likely never to an SLS Promoted event again.

I agree with this statement. Why should any track have to give SLS a cut to hold a WoO race????? Let the track get the proftit if any!!! When and if SLS is gone, will these tracks come back and hold a WoO race. This whole thing could come back to bite them someday!!! In my state (ND) you can't get a WoO date without SLS. What do you think Knoxville or Eldora would tell them??

Yeah the seat might have been good but it was a little too close to the action. Your four wheeler was pretty busy that night.

One would think that selling seats also includes the responsibility of making sure said seating is properly attended. Seems the absolute least SLS could do is make sure the folks to which they sell tickets are actually in the seats for which they paid....

I hate to hear of anyone having trouble with the tickets they paid good money for but I was actually going to post a positive thread about SLS then saw this one. Last year we got our Lakeside tickets through the track and were told there was no childrens ticket prices for the main grandstand, that a seat was a seat. This year we ordered through SLS for Belleville and Lakeside and got $15 childrens tickets and the good seats we expected and paid for. I have no complaints at all. Very good in my book.

Went to the SLS show at Salina, Okla., and thought it was great. Had a snafu when my tickets didn't arrive in the mail. I went to the ticket window and told them my problem and within seconds, I had my two tickets. I was treated very respectfully. Just thought I'd balance some of the negative with my own experience. Based on the way I was treated, I would gladly return to an SLS event. And the show itself ran off without a hitch, ended at a reasonable hour and was staged on a very racey track.
"I'd pay $15 to watch a sprint car sit still."

Kenny, you are in the vast majority of views here. People with their own priorities come out of the woodwork and cause issues for the sake of doing so, at least that's what it seems far too often on here these days. In my years of dealing and watching the SLS gang they were nothing but professional with the sport itself their top priority. Let some of these hot shots come up with a Hundred Large and put on their own show and let's see what happens, there won't be too long a line methinks. Hope things are good down there in Okie land, Take It Easy....

Careful some of these people will think that is $100.00
Still the line wouldn't be very long
