Am fixing to check out from the Sleep Inn in Hays, Kansas as I covered the NCRA sprint show from RPM Speedway Friday night. 29 cars and a really good show over all with lots of passing.
Have a funny story to tell about me, sprint car driver Barry Gifford, his wife and one of his friends in a drive through at McDonalds at 12:45 AM. Those poor people didn't know this McDonalds don't take walkups. Kinda funny.
Tonight am off to cover the NCRA modified show at 81 Speedway before heading home for my sons 19th birthday. Then it will be back up to 81 Speedway on Monday night for the final NCRA sprint show on the weekend where I understand alot of the ASCS national tour guys will be there.
Then it will be on my way home, do the story and be up at 3AM and back to work Tuesday morning, hard to do after a week long vacation.
