why does it always be about money? drivers make the car win! give the drivers credit... it don't matter who is paying the bills or not. i have seen guys run out of pocket with low dollar equipment win races, championships, dirt cups and even WOO events. so let's get off the "money" and give drivers credit.. I don't think you understood what I meant by 'added TV exposure.' I will try and clarify for you.
I was referencing the exposure given on the NAPCAR races and talk shows TV coverage. With out KKR and TSR there would be a WHOLE lot less mentions, coverage or chat (if any at all, without their involvement.)
I was not talking about live or tape delayed sprint car races themselves.

Talk is cheap. We have little to no coverage on television. Actually seeing the product is what will attract fans, not hearing about it from some NASCAR announcer who butchers the English language. From that perspective, KKR and TSR have done nothing to help exposure. If they had, we would be closer to having a tv package, a title sponsor and maybe even more corporate sponsorship.
It's absolutely asinine to think the price to compete has not increased. Like the previous post stated, the amount of money they are just dumping into engine development programs is astounding. You can always tell when those NASCAR SPRINTS (yes, nascarland is where the money is coming from, they are NASCAR SPRINTS) are pushing off, they have a distinct sound compared to their counterparts.
I knew this wouldnt be a popular opinion, but when you have unlimited budgets vs. guys like Jason Sides, eventually the new technology will surpass all. These engine programs they have are only a couple of years old, give it time.
Just like Hoseheads for a poster to argue my points with "there is no rule" No kidding, thats why the thread was a good or bad response and why.

Of course drivers make the car win. And NASCAR money can go out and buy the best drivers or who is hottest at the time (Kraig after nats title, Lasoski in his prime, Dollansky coming off a stellar 08 campaign etc and of course the current drives that we dont have to rehash either)
Let me ask the question, what BENEFIT has sprint car racing community seen from Kasey and Tony's involvement? Are we venturing into new markets, striking live (hell any) tv deals, gaining new fans, getting a younger demographic that is badly needed, bringing in new corporations that are not already associated with KKR and TSR?

All I can tell you is, a very wise (and wealthy) old businessman told me years ago:
'Any publicity is better than no publicity.'
Myself, I could care less about watching on TV or in person ANY NAPCAR race.
You seem to think TSR an KKR should also buy time on a cable channel to feature their big $$$ teams embarrasing the little guys.
Then we'd hear and read people like you griping about 'Kahne and Stewart's big egos and big money buying TV time to showcase their hollow 'big wallet' victories.'
I think Jason Myers and Tim Shaffer could care less how many rich people throw 'big' money at sprint car teams to win sprint car races and titles (makes winning even SWEETER then.)

If you want to be in a class where everyone is worried about what everyone else has then go IMCA. If you want real racing and big time excitement see WOO or ASCS or Posse or whatever . Thanks Tony and Kasey for supporting the thing that got you here and that we all love.

Arguing? I thought we were discussing. Your perspective is That KKR and TSR don't help EXPOSE sprint car racing, mine is that they do. Can either of us prove this, other than standing at the ticket gate and asking everybody with a ticket that enters how they first came to be sprint car fans? No. Your question really stems from a hatred of NASCAR not KKR/TSR, as you would have included BIG GAME Tree Stands in there, I'm sure their pockets run deep too. Anyway I say good for Sprint Car Racing you say bad for Sprint Car Racing, no big deal, we cancel each other out. I'm too much in awe when the Outlaws come to town to tell the difference Between TRS/KKR motors from Sides motors. You must follow them alittle more than me, LUCKY!!
HOSEHEAD peeps, Enjoy your FREEDOM LOVING Memorial Day race filled weekends, I'm heading to USA raceway to watch some privateer sprints race!!
