my tail tank paint is spider webed ( paint is cracking off) whats the best way to remove all the paint? it has 3 good thick coats on it! i was told not to sandblast it cause it could make the outer shell weak?
are there any good paint strippers out there that would work for this? like i said this paint is pretty thick!
thanks for the help!

Just a thought, see if you can find a company that does plastic media blasting. I have seen this used on fiberglass ,aluminum, plastic & aircraft, also GM reccommends this media for use on the Corvette body they use it for aircraft because it doesent destroy the paint base Hope this helps G

This past winter I used a heat gun along with a gasket scraper on ours. It turned out to be much easier than I thought it was going to be.

Find somewhere to borrow or rent a 4000PSI pressure washer with a turbo nozzle ( a zero tip that swirls) and have at it.
Expect to get wet!

They make paint stripper for rubber/plastic car bumpers that works pretty well.

if your time is worth anything at all you would be money ahead to get a new one.
