For those interested. Robert Sellers won the A Main. That is a big understatement. Before a red flag with about 5 to go.......he was within a 1/4 of a lap of lapping 2nd place. The red flag flew for Scott Bloomquist. He hit the ruts in turn 1 and took a hard nasty flip. Had to be taken out on a stretcher. Hope he is ok. Can't remember much rest of the results but there were 13 champ sprints. bout 17 mods, around 20 factory stocks, and 15 mini stocks.
Jeff Beville won the mod A Main.
Shawn Jorski had advance from 10th to 4th in the A Main in the first 2 or 3 laps, but I'm not quite sure what happened.....looked over and saw him sittin at an angle outside of turn 4. It was unfortunate as well as I really think he woulda won..........looked awfully fast.
Track was heavy with some ruts in turn 1.
thats all I can recall at this very tired point.

Guess they tore down Sellers after the race instead of puffin him. Why would they have to tear him down to find bore and stroke? That's gonna be a job puttin it back together!!

Because I am sure their tech people are as sharp as they are at SFS.

yeah it sucks to see drivers get out and go racin at other tracks and have bad luck. especially in stock cars as the pay out isn't very good.
BobcatJD.....yeah LOL. I just heard bloomquist and in the tired state of mind I was in put different ones together. still hope he's alright though.................

Shawn is fine. He has a concussion and his knee and tailbone are banged up pretty good. Almost everything but the frame on the car is junk but at least he is ok. Could have been alot worse.

Glad to hear Shawn is going to recover ok. I bet the rest of his racers will have a good pad for that tail bone.

Puffing the engine basically only tells you cubic inch "IF" you can run the puffer correctly. To check the bore size you have to remove the heads, that way you can measure the bore with either a dial bore gauge or a pair of calipers. Same thing with stroke. They make a gauge where it sits on top of the block deck or surface, then you roll the engine over. Then you have to calculate your numbers to come up with your cubic inches.

yes they will chadd. he said he is not getting back in it til he has a new seat. the doc is making him sit out 2 weeks because of the concussion.
as for the teardowns and checking. they checked the 10 in the mini stocks and they checked our fuel in the mods. not sure about the factories and you already know about the sprints.

Come to find out that Lawton messed up on the rules for sprints. Sellers DIDN'T get torn down just puffed.

Well puffin is the first thing they should do. And if there is any question after that, then it's time to tear down.

I, myself wasn't at the teardowns but a very reliable person who was there witnessed Sellars and Bryce with thier heads off the motors and both were found legal... Stop trying to cause trouble.

There is no rule in the Sprint class that allows for a tear down after any number of wins. That rule applies to Factorys only as far as I know. They checked his carburetor and puffed him. The tech guy at Lawton thought the rule applied to all the classes, he was wrong. There was no favortism shown in any way.

don't believe anyone is tryin to cause trouble. Matter of fact I think everyone is questioning this because everyone knows what goes on at SFS. Which when it comes to rules isn't much........if anything at all.
