Drivers from six states will represent the SOUTHERN OPEN WHEEL SERIES-National Midgets when they invade Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee on Friday night April 8th! These are the same midgets that provide the thrills at the famed “Chili Bowl” in Tulsa every January! Gates open at 6:00 P.M. and Races start at 8:00 P.M.
Drivers expected to compete for the $1000 first prize include Oklahoma natives Matt Sherrell, ASCS micro sprint champ Christopher Bell, multi-time sprint car winner Andy Shouse, and defending series champion Chett Gehrke, but they will be challenged by Kansas’ Garrett Hood and Tulsa Shoot Out winner Andrew Deal along with Arkansas’ Kurt Blackaby and Eric Sandage! Many more drivers from from Texas, Missouri, and Illinois will be trying to take the money away from the Sooner State…
