No official results yet - but the article (above) says Aaron Pierce, Wayne Reutimann, Pablo Donoso, Bud Kaeding and Mat Neeley were the top 5. J.J. Yeley had the fast time.

JJ. qualed at 163. mph.

By lap 20 he had half of the field a lap down.

Drebris ??? cauction lap 22 I think, gathered the field.

again JJ way out front and Pablo 1/8th lap behind.

around lap 30 JJ slid up in 3 and touched the wall.

was able to drive back to the pit but was done.

Aron and Wayne jr. were hooked up late and

Made for a good 3 lap 3 car finish. with Pablo

Up side,

cars running inches from the wall in turn 4

and some passes that took a whole straight away to make.

Price $10 and show complete by 9:30

Down side

14 cars.

USAC still listing this as a 100 lap event in their race results.

A win seemed inevitable for J.J. Yeley in the No. 14 USAC Silver Crown machine at Darlington Raceway on Thursday evening. After blitzing the field in practice and winning the pole, Yeley pushed out to a near half-lap lead over second place in the early going of the 50-lap event.

A caution for debris bunched the field at Lap 22, but once the race resumed, Yeley immediately marched out to a comfortable lead. But seven laps later, something in the right-front broke, and Yeley's night was finished prematurely.

"It's really disappointing," explained Yeley. "It was obvious that everyone else was fighting for second place tonight. We had a great car,
