Kyle wins Midget portion of Copper on Dirt at USA Raceway last night. First time out in the Kunz Motorsports Car. What about the rumor that Kyle will be in the Jeff Walker Sprinter for 30 or more shows? For all you non wing guys Walker runs a car on the USAC trail back in Indiana very competive ride if true.

Not only did he win. He absolutley dominated the main event. Before the caution he had easily half a track lead on 2nd place.

Great opportunity for Kyle ......but I hate to lose another wing driver to Indiana/non wing. I was hoping to see Kyle run WoO in a few years.

Congratulations to Kyle!
Anyone else read that king of the west autograph session thread over on the sprintcarfan.com message board? Its the one where that moron talks a bunch of trash about Kyle Larson? The trash talkers name is Matt Sherman, cant say I have ever heard of him before even though he likens himself to some sort of a race car driver, probably drives a pinto stock or datsun. Go read it if you havent already, the guy is as clueless as the come.
Cheers!

Matt has an opinion just like everyone else in the world...he just has enough balls to air it out which is cool. There are alot of people who get tired of hearing how great he was to win the championship...how many cars did he REALLY beat (2 or 3)?? Do you really think BK was going to beat him??Its all about PR
Dont act like Kyle won a big race...there was 2 heats and a total of 12 cars in Tucson. Yes I think he is good but everyone just writes how he won and had a huge lead at one point...wasn't like there was 30 or 40 cars. Next time maybe you should tell the whole story

There may have not been all that many cars, but when you look at the top-7 from last night, it still is not a bad accomplishment when you consider how many starts Kyle has in a midget.
It may not be like winning a USAC National Midget show, but to beat this top-7 is not bad at all for a kid pretty much just getting into the midget scene.
1. Kyle Larson 2. Danny Sheridan 3. Dalton Armstrong 4. Steve Buckwalter 5. Josh Pelky 6. Caleb Armstrong 7. Mike Spencer

and thats a good top 7 right there! Sheridan(2nd in USAC/CRA last yr) and Spencer(USAC/CRA 3 time champ) are damn good non-wing shoes, Buckwalter won a USAC Nat midget race last yr and is a multiple time ARDC midget champ, Pelkey is a real good midget and non-wing racer out of Arizona and then you have the Brothers Armstrong who have great success running midgets back in Indiana. Thought I'd help you out there chief with a little background info on the guy's he was in front of out there.
Trophy Cup......Best race of the year hands down!

His opinion is a very ignorant one at best but your right he does have enough balls to air it out. Brains probably not so much but balls sure I will go with that. Whats a bunch of balls without any brains amount to in a sprint car? Not much.
Sounds like Kyle is the one who is gonna have the last laugh in this deal. Kyles got brains, tons of talent and has earned his way into the opportunities he now calls his own. Jealousy always abounds amongst the outsiders looking in.
Kyle Larson is a purely talented racer who is going further than the clowns who want to piss and moan about the many accolades he has recieved.
On another note NorCalmasher you wouldnt happen to be Sherman would you? LOL
Cheers!

Enjoyed the comments. I'm from the UK and we don't have sprint car racing as such, but I have been watching it for nearly 20 years from afar and for the last 2 years while living here in CA. What is obvious to anyone with eyes is that Kyle Larson has a talent. I was a bit of a sceptic for a while, but eventually you have to believe your eyes. This kid is good and eventually will be a household name. So he's got opportnities some haven't, I think that follows the truth that the cream always rises to the top.
If he was no good, no-one would would be offering drives. They are, he takes them, he's good, he wins. Story told. If you don't like him, I think you may may be bitter for a long time.

when you say it is all about PR, just who's PR are you talking about? i doubt BK would sacrifice his name for anyone. also are you really saying Brent let the kid win? that is not only a knock against Kyle but against Brent and his guys too.
i am not on here to pump kyle, his performance will determine his recognition level, but i sure don't think he needs to be shot at for just doing the best he can. as he moves up the ladder, his level of talent will have a chance to continue to be determined based off of what he can do.
so far he seems to be doing pretty well. there is no reason not to wish him the best.
especially when he might be able to get us free tickets to some good races some day! LOL.
to indy and beyond!!

Well said Dazza, could not agree more. Being here in California I've watched Kyle since his start in 360's a real talent plus a nice guy.
