Make it about real race cars and you might get the attention of the people on this board.

I've seen the USMTS numerous times at Owatonna, Deer Creek, Lansing and Elko to name a few off the top of my head. They're by far the best Modified series around the central part of the country. I still prefer Sprints but the USMTS can a decent show.
Last year they kind of stepped on their own at Elko, the UMSS Sprints ran their whole Feature with few if any delays (might have been green to checker, can't remember though). The USMTS came out there and did their flag thing then took the green and wadded up half the field under the flagstand. There was rain moving in and the race ended up being shortened due to the delay at the start and rain hitting before they could finish. Oh, yeah, in typical upper Midwest fashion the Mod heads were blaming the Sprints. For what I don't know. That flag ceremony takes about 5 minutes and the wreck took a while to separate, that was their own damn fault. LOL
I DVR'd the last episode but haven't had time to watch it yet.

Any idea why Derek Ramirez is listed as a Dirt Knight, but they seldom have him featured? They only seem to reference his starting and finishing positions. I haven't seen all the episodes, but really have enjoyed them.

Yeah I don't understand why they have never even interviewed Ramirez, must be camera shy.
Love the show, would like to see Ryan Gustin in a sprint car. He surely has some talent and can pass cars. He probably has more feature wins in 2011 than anyone else in the country.

So many people write in on here, bitching about Nascar and such, and when there is at least a DIRT surface racing show, albeit not Sprint cars, people have to bitch about. As they say, you cannot please everybody. Dirt racing is DIRT racing. I cannot stand the 'junk' Modifieds that they race at Wilmot, but to watch something other than asphalt on TV is something welcome, considering that the Sprints are not on all that often..

Derek was featured in the first couple of episodes but when Jon Tesch quit them as a team member to go out on his own, they almost quit showing Ramirez altogether.
The USMTS is to modifieds like the WoO are to sprint cars - the best in the business. This isn't drama this Dirt Knights, it is actually very interesting to watch and I think most traveling teams, no matter the type of race car, can relate to this show.

I enjoyed the Dirt Knights episodes. They kept it simple, there was quite a bit of racing, and no cheap staged drama scenes. The owners and drivers did not come off as a bunch of dirt trackin rednecks for once. They looked extremely professional.
I wonder who footed the bill for its production? Was USMTS putting money into it?
So to my knowledge on TV there has been two dirt mod series, the Bowman Grey asphalt mods and the street stocks at Devils Bowl. Why not sprint cars?
