Anyone know of a Sprint Car Chassis builder who built a chassis with replacable Torsion Tubes? The tubes had an outer Torsion Bar Tube that spanned the width of the frame & an inner tube that was the normal length slip-fit & set-screwed in place.
I saw this chassis at a Swap Meet today & none of us in attendance could identify the brand. There are no visible markings on the frame.

No idea on the builder, but it sounds like a neat idea. You could swap it to reverse arm or maybe even short bar without much problem. It would probably be shunned by the mainstream due to the extra couple pounds though...

I cant remember how it was but GAMBLER had a car (early 90`s) that the torsion tubes could be changed back and forth from flop tube and back.

The Gambler, at that time, had 1" pieces that attached to the torsion tubes by allen head bolts. They were interchangeable from side to side, so you could set up the car as a standard car or a "reverse" car....

My first car was a Trevis which had torsion tubes that could be changed over like that. But they weren't held in by a set screw, there were short pieces of tubing welded parallel to the tubes which were through-bolted.
