Sent to me by someone on my facebook page. There was a question about what is facing Oklahoma racing and it was sent to me when I asked what permits.
"Proposed new law for Oklahoma based off of a Michigan law. Would require every race event to apply for, and be approved for, a permit to hold such event on each and every separate date. Fees, Insurance, Safety Barriers, Proper EMT service, Noise Curfews, dust control, parking and traffic control, etc would all need to be in place, and approved, prior to obtaining said permit."

stands at times of challenge and controversy."

If passed, the law should also apply to all horse racing events, Right?

We might need a Science teacher to help us all make seance of this. I have a few questions;
1. Does Horse and Cow manure not give off Methane gasses?
2. Do Horse and Bull Riding shows not kick up dirt and dust for the public and participants to breath?
3. Do they not have barriers at Horse and Bull riding events to protect the public and participants?
4. Do they not have EMT service at Horse and Bull Riding events?
5. Do the Horse and Buggy people not have similar Tow Rigs as Racers that may create a need for Parking and Traffic Control?
6. Do all Track Promoters not adhere and abide by the Noise Cerfew?
Just saying, the average Rodeo exceeds all of the above without question from State or Local Government.

WHO is proposing the adoption of this Michigan law? What is their name? What is the status of this proposal? First the OKC Fairgrounds Speedway is demolished, now this? Enough is enough. Maybe race fans need to march in protest. That sure seems to work in Egypt.
