1st Heat Finish:  1. Cody Cordell, 2. Gene Hastings, 3. Nigel Calvert, 4. Terry Beckham Sr., DNS Danny Smith.

 

2nd Heat Finish:  1. Matt Sherrell, 2. David Stephenson, 3. Jasiel Randolph, 4. Daniel Calvert, 5. David Seabolt.

They dropped twenty-one late models on their first night for ten, non-wing sprints on their first night? Alrighty then.

Yes, talked to owner, Brian Cunningham and he insisted on forty late models, I told him in about two or three weeks he may have gotten 40, told him he was too impatient. Also went up to grandstands for hot laps and the dust was flying, as they did not water the track, I guess he thought nature would take care of it. However, luckily we got a short shower early and another while the first modified heat was running and they red flagged it and the second shower seemed to make the track much better. Still was a long night, started late took 35-40 minute intermission, which was not needed as the crowd was slim. Sprints were last feature and shortest in time, finished up at 11:40. Need to put time limits on pure, mods, factorys, took 40 minutes for pures and mods and 30 for factory.

that was Beckham Sr. not the IIIrd and no he never drove a sprint before but at 60 years old still wants to have some fun
