There have been calls to the NCRA office in Wichita concerning this so am posting it here.
There WILL be an NCRA Southern modified (sport mod) division in 2011 with the same rules as the IMCA southern sport mods. Also new for the division this year is tow money. The top ten in the series point standings heading into the event scheduled will receive $25 in tow money. Know it is not much but it does take care of your entry fee each race if you are in the top ten.
Right now there are eight races on the schedule with the series awaiting response from a couple more tracks. It looks as though I will have the tentative schedule at this Saturdays OKC Trade Show and Auction.
As for another one of my babys, the modified south division, it will take the 2011 race season off but the division WILL be back in 2012. The cheaper SMP purse has the attention of promoters because they don't have to pay "B" feature money to the guys not making the "A" feature. Difficulty in booking shows because of this and the fact the division has no sponsor is also the reason.
Along with southern modified schedule I should have the NCRA sprint car schedule and the new NCRA Great Plains late model region schedule available at the OKC trade show as well.
