Ralph Parkinson Sr. passed away yesterday evening after a battle with cancer. He was from the Wichita Falls area, a WWII Veteran, Father, and racing Legend. He is in 4 Halls of Fame with the biggest one to come yet. He won twelve (12) midget races in a row with number 12 coming at OkC in 1968 aboard Marys Mink owned by Scott hunter.

This tribute is from Mike Monatoboy of Lawton, OK. He watched Ralph and Gilbert Hutson make some stories at Lawton Speedway in the early 60's. Ralph turned down a shot at Indy so that he could stay and watch his sons grow.

My Mom told me that just before some guys walked up behind me, carrying a white shirt that had extremely long sleeves.........

All kidding aside

Mike I am just a product of you guys. Saturday nights with whitewalls on junkyard wheels.

I'm kind of like a reporter who found an awesome group of folks with tons of gold for stories. Really- all this stuff comes from you people-this is your product. I'm a lucky stiff who gets to run around like a wild man looking at all the great colors.

Thank you though,

Brian
