No need to be a jerk, it pisses me off.

It's dropped, I won't worry about telling you thanks for posting awesome videos anymore, trust me.

Not trying to be a jerk, it's just that I can't sell these. I got dogpiled on for trying to do a cool thing and make a few people happy. Not the first time this has happened in this hobby, but my patience is short on the situation.

I work on the ground(no shop) with junkyard parts none of you want anymore, living in a 60 year old 2 bedroom house some would call a dump. Give me a break please.

Thanks Brian26 for for all the videos, I you put alot of time and effort into it... keep them coming. I met Jerry Potter at the nationals this year in the hall of fame, he took the time to talk to me and my son, very class act.

I'm still waiting on the A main upload to complete. Man what a drag.............But like last time, if it comes down to having to record it with a video camera to get it to you guys, guess I'll have to. But I want you guys to have the best video quality I can send. Especially on this one. It's worth it.

a few thoughts--

1. I could shorten the clips to get them up faster so the winner could be shown sooner......BUT if your Dad or hero fell out of the first heat race or the back of the B feature and got on screen, I want him on here. He'll never get to go back to that day, and thanks to this avenue, much of it can come here. I have heard of a way to get these files up in longer formats with the same quality, maybe even out to the 15 minute limit. I am now going to have to look into that and see what I can do. I don't mind too much paying the subscription fee, but I am not interested in losing the account set up- to start over, or even lose the username. I get a sense that something this special is a one-shot deal. Big picture wise of course. "Big picture"? Yeah, keep doing what I'm doing Bubba!

2. I'll take last nights drama as a sincere compliment that I-70/WoO was more awesome than I imagined. It means you love that old track and what they did out there. I had to stay with the rules so that more of this can come. I'd love to make all of you happy, but I can't and won't go too far outside my limitations. It surprises me to hear about who all is watching...........Gotta go by the rules the best I can. That is the key.

Thanks to all who got mad at me, that means there is electricity. It's a good thing and I'm still on your side. I just can't sell what is not mine. 28 years ago, very few people I knew of even had a vhs recorder. And then the odds of keeping this stuff, and in good shape of all things. We lucky to have it, and what's to come. More Syracuse, USAC, NCRA, CRA, Ascot, Eldora WoO, and the list goes on. Then there is the local Oklahoma City and surrounding area stuff I'll be doing too. Not to mention more NCRA Late Model we have with David Smith from the SATURDAYNIGHTRELIGION account. I-70 NCRA late models on dirt has already been posted. I'll bet there is more I-70 dirt stuff coming too.

3. 4 years ago this computer was sold to me with the understanding that it would take care of everything I'd ever need. Faster this, faster that, too much memory for me to use.yadda,yadda,yadda. That was the second time I fell for that salespitch, and it looks like I might have to fall for it again.

This computer seems to be run by a 'three legged, one eyed , squirrell named "Lucky".

As for the total A feature upload, watching the minutes tick down it's looking like Sunday morning is realistic. This thing moves at 100 mb an hour, but there a lot of them when it comes straight off the vhs tape.

gotta go......................LUCKY! HURRY YOUR BUTT UP! WE'RE WAITING!

Brian....

I think I totally understand where you are coming from.

I also totally agree that checkbooks and credit cards have really screwed up the sport we all love.

Kinda like Limewire...as long as it's "Sharing" and "Trading" and nobody is making money it's OK to share....

Let me go thru some of my VHS tapes....I have quite a few old "Thunder" episodes and even a few "American Sports Cavalcade" shows...May not be quite as old as you are looking for but in a few years they will be.

I am in the process of transferring all of them to DVD to save space in my overloaded entertainment center. Once I do this I will have a ton of VHS tapes to "Donate" to the cause...

You will obviously enjoy and appreciate them and do a good job letting others enjoy them too.

Would you like me to send you all my tapes when I get them transferred? I would be glad to do it.

And if I never get a copy of the I-70 races the fact that they are forever online is good enough for me.

Thanks again for posting. I know it takes lots of time to do it and I totally appreciate being able to watch them.

Merry Christmas!!

Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.

Darnall,

This obviously means a lot to you. I'll call Shane and vouch for you. If Bud Carson was reading this right now, he'd tell me to send you one because it's Christmas. Shane isn't much different.

I can read between the lines and see the sincerity of the sacrifice you're willing to make. That's enough to convince me, and please excuse me for being protective. Part of my job Sir.

send me a pm with your mailing address. That way if it clears with Shane, my job is to get it out asap.

---------Now about the VHS tapes

I prefer the owner (in this case you)- keeps the original tapes the video comes from. The older this stuff gets, the better it is to have lots of copies. The world is not ready just yet to count out vhs, and I want your stuff to stay safe too.

If you have something before 1993, burn us off a dvd copy please. Check with me first to see if we don't have it , and we probably won't. 1987-1993 Chili Bowls would work easy. USAC sprints, midgets, Silver Crown etc.

Otherwise, find something. I'll go to bat for ya on this.

Brian

Thanks!!!!!!

When I get to do this, and take care of the part of the job no one else sees........ya know, shoot square

then i get to watch these vids right along with you guys! we all get to go to the races. well, so to speak.

Buy your Wives some roses and tell 'em you love 'em guys, wash some dishes, whatever works. More videos have been aquired today.

Got a big Silver Crown USAC Champ dirt race coming, on a mile out there somewhere you've heard of, and then there'll be more Outlaw stuff from a high speed location that was named after a mexican nightclub.

I have to keep the local stuff going too, so I'll be off the national scene for a few days.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL YOU GUYS. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YA'. It's good to be alive in the USA
