The CARB meeting this Saturday at KCI EXPO,11730 Northwest Ambassador Drive,Kansas City Mo will feature Bud Hunnicutt,Author of the best seller "UP ON THE WHEEL".
Bud's memories go back to when he was 5 years old and his Dad,Joe Hunnicutt,took him to his first race at the old Goldman Stadium (now the location of Satchel Paige Ballpark).At the age of 78 that's a lot of racing to have seen but Olympic Stadium,Riverside Stadium and Lakeside Speedway are maybe the most impressive because that is where he created his own career at the wheel.
Not all the stories went into the book and you will have a chance to ask questions afterward.
The meeting is at 7pm and you will see a lot of friendly familiar faces to greet you.COME ON DOWN !

I second Oscar's comments. Listening to Bud's stories is always entertaining - as is reading his book ... available from Bud or from the Sprint Car Hall of Fame.

I'll have to wait till the Chili Bowl to hear him speak.
Another Indiana Sprintweek BBQ at my house would be another good time to catch up too.....

Merry Christmas Pete,Carol and Andrew !
As usual,the very opportunity to tell his stories brings him to his feet.The members of CARB are a ready audience and Bud is ALWAYS ready to talk.
The tree is trimmed,the stockings are hung and we are looking forward to a MERRY,MERRY CHRISTMAS.We hope you are doing the same.
HAPPY NEW YEAR and it's only 30 days til the Chili Bowl.See you in Tulsa !
