FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CARDEY GOES IN 43RD ANNUAL KRONIK ENERGY DRINK WESTERN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TONIGHT!

(NOVEMBR 19, 2010, RIVERSIDE, CA) Shaking off a disappointing outcome at the recent Budweiser Oval Nationals, Riverside, California's "Dynamite" David Cardey will start his run towards a hoped for victory tonight in the 43rd Annual Kronik Energy Drink Western World Championships at USA Raceway in Tucson, Arizona.

Cardey will be making his first appearance in a Jim Massey owned car and will be a teammate to the 2009 ASCS Canyon Region champion and current point leader Charles Davis Jr. of Buckeye, Arizona. Cardey, 35, will run a heat race tonight that will set him into tonight's A or B main event and he will race again tomorrow night in the Western World finale. Last evening, teammate Davis finished third in the A main.

Two weeks ago the Oval Nationals started with a lot of promise for Cardey, who was one of the top picks of the Southern California contingent. On the opening night, he was 30th fast qualifier in the 51 car field. However, he was hit by another car and finished last in his heat race. That forced Cardey to start 15th in the 12 lap B main and he needed to get all the way to fourth. The slender star sliced and diced his way through the field and in breathtaking fashion, he passed two cars in turn one on the final lap with a daring slide job to earn his ticket to the 25-lap A main event. In that A main, Cardey was equally exciting and was a man on the move once again. He started 17th and with his bevy of fans cheering him on, he passed many of the top drivers in the business to finish in the sixth place spot.

Things looked good for Cardey heading into Friday's action, but that is when disaster struck. In hot laps, he blew the engine in his bright red racer and that was all she wrote for the weekend. That was the only potent bullet in the stable and he was grudgingly forced to withdraw from the action.

David would like to thank all of the sponsors for making his 2010 season possible. Circle Track Performance, iTi Performance Motorsports, Pick's Racing Engines, Racer's Pub, 5-Star Gas & Gear, Monster Media, Down's Oil, Empire Plumbing, Spin Tech Performance Mufflers, Don Flanders and Scott Daloisio Sports. looked like the car just kept getting tighter with every lap but man was it fast. David had something for em no doubt. Disappointing for sure, he climbed from the car without assistance.

DAVID UPDATE..........He said it was the hardest hit he's taken. Knocked his breath out and his upper back hurt immediately. Ambulance caught up with him in the pits and they immobilized him and transported to hosp. All X-rays were negative and he will be fine. He is still very sore today and says it hurts to swallow but already taking about next year. He would like to thank Jim Massey and Charles Davis for an awesome ride. Great car and great team. It would have run up front. Because of his engine woe's David will not be racing at the PAS this weekend.

I'am sorry to hear that Davids season is over.

He had a good solid year in 2010, all things considered.

Hoped to see David mash the gas and make some moves one more time before the off season and all of the uncertainty that 2011 will bring.

Thanks Jim, see you and David next year(if not sooner).
