Someone asked for a Gary Patterson autograph. I don't have very many of those (I was a kid and he was a little intimidating), but I do have a July 6th 1980 Calistoga Program with his signiture and the familiar peace sign that he put with it.

The cover is a B&W picture of the field coming out of turn 4 at Calistoga (day race) and is signed by

Gary Patterson #15x(Don Melvin?), Chuck Gurney #4s(Bob Consoni), Jimmy Sills #21N(Duke McMillen), Tom "The Rabbit" Abreu #02(Abreu), Lem Tolliver #56(Walt Ross), Mark Wolleson #75(Wolleson), Tom Crowther #13(Crowther), "RC" Ron Horton #73(Horton), "The Rat" Mike Andreeta #99(Vern Kornburst?)

The inside has approx 9 B&W pictures of ...The Horton Brothers flipping, Mike Andreeta, Jimmy Boyd (Western Mag Special), Les Blakeley, Gary Ponzini, Hank Butcher, Leroy VanConett, Tom Abreu, Ed Organ, Fred Grant, Rick Horton, & Skip Dwyer

I believe my aunt filled in the heat races etc by number only. Mike Andeeta won the Trophy Dash. Crowther, Walker, and Sills won heat races and Richardson appears to have won his heat and the semi. It was the first feature win at Calistoga for Lealand McSpadden (Baliey Bros #01).

It's listed for auction on eBay Item # 260694681628, and once again all the money will be sent to Steve Howard for the Glenn Howard Memorial.

Good Luck!

Also if not on IOW you should post both the auctions on there. I'd bet the Mid-West folk will probably bid more for the Hewitt item
