Cody Laney Represents Dirt Drivers with Dirt versus Asphalt Win

Laney won Monday nights Dirt versus Asphalt event in a dominating way.
Laney won his respected heat and the 100 lap feature and finished a
close 2nd to Kristlyn Queener in the Trophy dash. Defending champion
Nic Faas who also won his heat, led the feature from the green flag
until Laney passed him 5 laps before the half way caution. Faas quickly
regained the lead after the restart with a closely following Brandon
Thomson. Jake Argo was sitting in a close 4th while Laney passed both
Thomson and Faas with 10 laps remaining. Mitchell Johnson finished a
hard fought night with 5th.
Chris Gansen came out of a
temporary retirement to win his heat along with Laney, Brody Roa and
Faas. D main transfers where Dirt driver Michael Laney and asphalt
driver Jesse Lawson. C main gave us 2 dirt driver transfers Mitchell
Johnson and Danny Queener. Both C main drivers Queener and Johnson also
transferred into the feature through the B main along with fellow dirt
drivers Fred Elliot and eventual 2 place finisher Brandon Thomson. The
event saw a respectable 32 racers.
