Hanford exceeded my expectations , and put on a heelluva show Sat. I guess Mr. Woodhouse is out of the s***house and can breathe easier now. I have only 2 complaints; 1. TK did'nt win, but Kyle showed us he's the real deal. 2. I starved to death because of long lines at the gedunk stand. It was either starve or miss the action, and starving is temporary but missing the action is forever. Next time I will bring my own food as Hanford has no FoodNazis at the gate like Perris has. I heard that the King Of The West has scheduled 6 races between Hanford and Tulare. If this is true I'll be burning up The Grapevine for every one. Hope they schedule the USAC 360's with these shows as they put on a great show Sat.

SeeYa at the Trophy Cup!

BTW Mr. Woodhouse please do'nt fire Bubba again as it puts him off his feed and he might lose weight. LOL

I thought the food lines, while long, moved quickly. I did'nt mind the wait since it gave me time to catch with alot of racers and fans that I hadn't seen for awhile. The 25th Cotton Classic is proof that even in a shakey economy a fair payout to attract cars and a fair front gate price will be a success. I even got to run blocker for the better looking (much better looking) Woodhouse while she changed the the paper towels in the men's room.

Kudo's to entire Giant Chevrolet King's Speedway staff.

Geez, I had fun.

We had a great time Scott. Everything went smoothly and all of your hard paid off! I think you and your crew showed everyone just what caring, hard work and perseverance can bring. Thank you, we are so looking forward to all of the King of the West races at Kings in 2011.

glad to see hanford back in the scene with 410 racing. the world of outlaws need to come back. I can remember this place would be sold out on a wednesday night and great racing along with it. will we see the woo back at hanford in 2011?

a few things need adjustment, the announcer was ok but made a few mistakes, dq for being to heavy? my buddy and i were thinking what? murphy was too heavy? mispronounced a few names kenny takdkdkdkdk.... what? the infield announcer could do a better job interviewing the drivers in victory lane also. i like an announcer that can give us some background on drivers. the announcer is very important key to bring back fans. keeping them informed of the drivers, history of racing, the event format, etc, helps educate the new fans and will bring them back again and also helps us old folks learn about the new young drivers.

i like all the giveaways to the fans, whether its a t-shirt, hat, popcorn, etc, it good to see people checking their tickets and getting excited they won something. the snack bar line could have been better but like the person said above, it gave me time to chat with race fans.

and yes a fair payout attracts drivers to come out to your track.

oh yes the non wing racing was great too. 2 division is enough. i hate it when i have to sit thru 4 different divisions just to see the sprint cars.

overall it was a great show, the new promoter is doing a good job bringing back hanford. now i would like to see a woo show there again. i enjoy the central valley racing.

I'll fire the infield announcer today! He's outta here! I think he sucks too but works cheap.....But now I guess I can focus on other things,,,lol

:-)

I have to be honest here....We were overwhelmed with the amount of people and what that can do to a place. Now we know and have started preparing for a HUGE event in March (hint).

Thanks to everyone for coming out. We are humbled by the support!

Scott I think your attitude along with your desire is going to make Kings once again what it use to be! You actually want the sprint cars there and it shows. You provide the race and a decent payout and the racers and the fans will come. You are off to a great start!

This was the best show at Kings in a LONG time and the biggest crowd in quite a while. As for the infield announcer, give the guy a break Scott. After all, he's a rookie, give him another season. As for Murphy being "to heavy" at the scales, did you notice that the announcer mentioned it twice more during the course of the evening? The second time, Murphy was too light. The last time, he was to heavy again. Between the two, the announcer upstairs needs the most improvement. I know that part of his job is to keep the level of excitement up, but sometimes the best thing to say is nothing, give the fans a rest. He has not learned that yet. Overall, great improvements at Kings, keep it up Scott & Don. By the way Scott, sat in front of your mother Sat. night, nice lady.

Scott, didnt you make this announcment about your HUGE event earlier this year on the PA? One of my 3 trips there from Phoenix i could have sworn it was stated. I want to say it was during the May Kings 360 winged event.

It is great to have Kings Speedway back in the mix. Thank you Scott and Dan for all of your hard work. Don't be too hard on the infield announcer-- his desire will overcome his lack of experience. I can't wait for next year to start.

Are we having fun yet?

Don doesn't come on much, but he is VERY happy with how it went. He has put a lot of time out here too and I'm glad it shows!!!

When Don and I get to close the gates for the winter.....After a LONG nap we will get right back at it and make things even better!

Very well-run program on the track last Saturday, even including the actual (if risky) racing by some of the old-timers. Haven't seen a vintage race like that Billy Shuman was being so (well) "assertive" Smile at Manzy a decade or so ago.

I agree about the food situation; some adjustments need to be made there to get the orders up more quickly. Maybe a setup like Chris's at Santa Maria or Jim's in Ventura. Oddly, the beer lines were short most of the evening.

See you all at Tool-Are this weekend.
