People we need to support both these tracks so we continue to have the best of the best. For all of the complaining by people , the promoters can only make it better. I support both. You have the best of the best big high banked and the best of the best short track right in the DFW metroplex. I know last Friday was very long but Sat was great. It still beats that 10 dollar movie and 12 dollar soda and popcorn. Let's fill the stands at both these shows!!!!!

I do agree that supporting area tracks is important, but most people on this site are not from that area, and many of us were commenting on too many support classes really make the long trip even less attractive, so when a track has a big event perhaps fewer eeeeeeeeeeeeee well that been beat to death,
if you really think those tracks are the best of the best, you certainly have not been to many tracks

I agree Bo must cut some classes. Oh I've been to alot of tracks. There is one track that is the top dog because it is prepared by the best week in and week out and it's "The Fastest Track in ............. I'm saying we have great facilities and fortunate to have a place to race. It's not Knoxville but I like a change. Look at the caliber of drivers that put on a show at these 2 tracks. The best of the best . Devils Bowl here we come

I've been to a LOT of racetracks of all shapes & sizes... Cowtown & the Bowl are both really good race tracks to visit IMHO. My favorite is and will likely always be Knoxville; at least when the subject of "the best" is brought up. Any of the Speedway Motorsports tracks have nicer facilities than the DFW tandem of the Bowl & Cowtown. Especially TMS... which runs no open wheelers that sling clay.
Cowtown is a nice banked 1/4 and the Bowl is a short 1/2 or 3/8. I've seen really good racing at both. I prefer the surface at the Bowl when it's right but they're both good race tracks to visit.
There are nicer facilities out there but the tracks themselves are definitely top shelf and provide strong racing.

when someone tells me the "best of the best" I would think that would mean top 1%, the above are great places but not top 1% that I have seen, not sure they would make top 10% but they are good

I'm curious about your top tracks, now.
Hopefully you'll reply with them on the thread I'm about to start that is based on the tracks conversation in this thread.

General Admission at the Bowl this weekend - each night - $25. If you are over 60 yrs. old - each night - $10. Racing at 8:00 . Finally it is paying off to be older (other than also getting to see Opperman race - and the rest of the good drivers from that era).

I know that to the racing fan $25 is not much for all of the cars that will be there, but for the casual fan $25 is steep.

54 sprints at the Devil's Bowl Fri. night. I guess you know by now that Jason Johnson came from 12th to win after Zach Chappell blew his engine - with a huge lead on the field.

Both of those tracks are very fine facilities, and both most often do a good job of completing the races in a timely manner. What puzzles me though is how Devil's Bowl can barely attract 10 sprints for their regular show. Is there anyone who owns or drives a sprint in the D-FW area who could address this question?
