Modifieds and Late Models Highlight Okie from Muskogee Classic This Weekend

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma – October 5, 2010 - A full two days of racing action is set for the famed half mile oval of Thunderbird Speedway, located at the Muskogee Fairgrounds in Muskogee, Oklahoma this coming Friday and Saturday night as the track hosts the first annual "Okie from Muskogee Fall Classic" featuring modifieds, NCRA southern modifieds, super stocks, street stocks, pure stocks, strictly stocks and a special appearance by the Missouri based Show-Me late model series on Saturday night.

It all kicks off on Thursday night with an open practice session for all drivers competing during the weekend of events. Pit passes are $20 (kids admitted free) and there will be food provided by Charlie's Chicken for all drivers, crews, and family appreciation. Beverages will be provided by RC/7UP.

Racing action begins on Friday night with heat races and qualifying features for all divisions mentioned above plus an open practice session for the late model drivers. Gates open at 5:00 PM with racing set for 7:30 PM. Pit passes are $30 (kids 6-12 $10) with grandstand seats just $10 for adults and ages 10 and under free.

Then on Saturday night the gates open at 5:00 PM with racing set for a 7:00 PM start time. A full program of heat races, last chance qualifying and feature finale for the Show-Me late model series plus features for all other divisions. Pit passes are $30 (kids 6-12 $10) with grandstand seats just $15 for adults and ages 10 and under free.

You can also save some money by purchasing a two day grandstand pass for just $23.

Modifieds will be competing for a $2000 first place prize with $200 just to start the 24 car feature finale. There will be an $85 entry fee. The payout for the modifeds look like the following: 1) 2000, 2) 1200, 3) 800, 4) 600, 5) 500, 6) 450, 7) 350, 8) 300, 9) 275, 10) 260, 11)250, 12) 240, 13) 235, 14) 230, 15) 225, 16) 220, 17) 215, 18) 210, 19) 205, 20-24) 200.

The NCRA southern modified event will be a sanctioned show for the series with southern sport modified rules in effect. Their payout and the payout for the super stocks and street stocks are the following: 1) 1000, 2) 600, 3) 375, 4) 350, 5) 300, 6) 265, 7) 240, 8) 235, 9) 225, 10) 200, 11) 180, 12) 175 3) 170, 14) 165, 15) 160, 16) 155, 17-20) 150 - $50 ENTRY FEE
