Gets schooled by gordon after passing him on the race track and blames it on yellow flags thrown all year long! This a week after he said he wants to retire! Keeps everyone in the press all week long, to include nascar, media hound to the max!!! Great driver too!

While my thoughts differ than that of many, I like Tony and don't blame him for speaking out. Nobody else will do it so why can't he? He is correct, NASCAR is a joke and almost scripted like WWE. You have your Golden Boy (yes I am a huge Jeff Gordan fan but fact is fact), you have your on-track trouble maker who nobody likes (Busch) and you have the driver who tells it like it is and pulls no punches (Stewart). You have another driver living off his daddys name (Kyle Petty) and you have a driver who is only liked because he is the famous son of a famous driver who nobody liked before his death (Dale).
I like Stewart but don't necessarily like everything he does but he does tell it like it is and how he feels without kissing butt. To me, Tony is no embarrassment.

I have a different question tho. Not to offend you 20stewart.........but thats your name on here so I take it you are (or were) a fan of Tony Stewart. So why do you post so many derrogatory things about him? just wonderin.

Stewart often makes it difficult to like him, but as long as the man fields a World of Outlaws team, maintains ownership of Eldora and drives in the Chili Bowl, he can't be all bad. Kasey Kahne and Dave Blaney do some nice things for sprint car racing too, but none of the current NASCAR drivers can match Stewart in that area.

I had always been a huge NASCAR fan until the past few years.
Now I feel it's a joke. I still watch some of the races and I
actually like the COT but the debris yellows, the lucky dog and the
rest of the orchestration of the races wear me out. I think a lot
of the drivers are top notch and I think Jeff Gordon is the best race
car driver this generation has ever seen. That being said, Tony
Stewart is a whiny punk. He always has been.
His behavior in NASCAR isn't much different than it was when he was
winning in USAC and the IRL. His talent is tremendous but his
demeanor is attrocious. He is the worst tempered "big time" racer
I've ever met and I've met a ton. I'm sure Home Depot really
appreciated not having that 45 or 60 seconds of additional air time from
Tony.
Has anyone ever thought that maybe NASCAR loves Tony for his behavior? Talk about WWE-type tactics....

Hea guys every time we bring up a NASCAR guy rather we like him or we don't all NASCAR is hearing is cha ching. It is no differant than MLB, NFL or WWE. It is called marketing. When you stay in the limelight then your product sells tickets and sells products.

Big time Stewart fan, but I don't defend no ones personality, or the nutty things one has to say! And yes Steweart speaks his mind, just like Nascar ordered him to do. He needs to take not only lessons in racing cup cars from Gordon but he also needs to take lessons in class from him also!

Talk about people running off at the mouth, get into the pits and listen to some of your favorite drivers and then get on here and post your comments. you can listen to the ones you dont like and post but you never post about some one you like.............. jmo

I kinda disagree about the Kyle Petty comment. His name helped him,but he has won some races,and a few years was in top 5 in points with guys like Dale, Mark, Rusty, those type of guys, you cant win races becouse of a name,takes some ability, like Dale Jr (wich I happen to like) without the last name,they would not be in NASCAR,but whatever they would be racing they would be winning, name helped them.
I like what Tony had to say, but he does complain, I remember last year he wrecked Boyer becouse he was racing Tony to hard at the start of a race. So instead of Tony letting Boyer go, he raced him hard then wrecked him. Nascar has gone to crap lately, I still watch it some,but then just get mad when the fine guys for being mad after they are wrecked, or even like last week when guys quailify 20th and go home becouse of that stupid 35 locked in crap.

Funny what the nascar guy (Hunter) or whatever his name, told stewart, behind closed doors, he said to Tony, "You need nascar more then nascar will ever need you, theres thousands of monkeys just waiting for a chance to race at this level"! In the end old 'listen to how bad I am' Tony dropped to his knees! I am stilll laughing at him a few weeks ago for getting upset that the earnhardt fans were booing him! Gordon not only has tony beat in stock car racing ability but also in class.
