I was the one that deleted the Cedar Lake thread.

Why would you do such a thing?
It's good reading entertainment to read about how promoters/track owners can't please everyone.
You just can't please everyone, never have, never will.
I thought the whole night was great.

I don't like it when they unload on my board and I end up getting emails from upset track owners and series directors. That didn't happen this time but when the thread starts going in that direction I just delete them before it gets to that point. They'll probably complain about me not allowing free speech on my board and threaten to go elsewhere. I say good riddance, I hope they don't let the keyboard slap their butts on the way out. That will be a few less negative people I have to stop and make sure they're not causing me problems. I'd rather this board was only a dozen friends who want to keep the conversation positive than the most popular board and have to constantly monitor it. I don't need to be hunched over a keyboard every night babysitting adults.

Stan,
You also don't need to defend or "bow down" to the track owners and or series directors. I personally think you worry too much.
With that said, I think the Cedar Lake conflict was a little unfair. Anytime you can draw a full field of sprints, we should appreciate the opportunity to spectate!
We live in a society that demands instant gratification. I realize that not all sprint events are perfect, but sometimes we need to, "slow down and smell the roses".

Stan, I know I'm among many of people that really appreciate all you do with this website and to promote sprint car racing. I thoroughly enjoyed the night and got a chance to meet a former flagman for Cedar Lake, Red Wing and North Star. We talked about a lot of stories from the past!!!

I took some event photos for the Richert family to use in promotional materials for future events and thought you might like this one. Doug Wolfgang, Ted Ready and Scratch Daniels.
