If my memory serves me correct, Donny Schatz and Kraig Kinser scored their first WoO wins there. Anyone know of anyone else?

No doubt I could be wrong. It has always stuck in my mind that her win was in Cottage Grove. Anyone care to verify ?

Definitely not Cottage Grove. Was down in Cali some where. Thunder Bowl sounds right.

Crocker, 28, won a preliminary night World of Outlaws feature at the Tulare Thunderbowl on October 29, 2004, making her the first – and currently only – female driver to win a race on the top sprint car circuit. She previously had been named Knoxville Nationals and World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year.

First win at Cottage Grove June 26th Tim Alberding Nonwing win first and only win so far.

I stand corrected. Getting old. Should just read instead of replying.

If my memory hasn't completely gone, I think you are right. Seems like it was the year after Kraig got his first there.

I have a tape of a WoO race from 94 from Cottage Grove. Totally awsome hammer down till the end with Blaney passing Sammy on the outside sawing the wheel.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Kraig's win was acutally in 2004 and Steve finished right behind him in second.
