I-30 Speedway's Fifth Annual 600 Nationals Just Around the Corner!

Lonnie Wheatley, LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (August 25, 2010) – In just four short weeks, the nation's top Micro Sprint Car competitors will converge upon Little Rock's I-30 Speedway for the Fifth Annual 600 Nationals presented by Hoosier Tires.

This year's rendition of the 600 Nationals includes three full nights of competition on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, September 23-25, following a Test 'N Tune Session on Wednesday night, September 22.

The fifth edition of the 600 Nationals will have a new look to it as well, as the payout will be spread over the full three nights of competition. The Thursday and Friday features will both offer up $1,100 to win and $100 to start, while Saturday's Fifth Annual 600 Nationals finale will include a $3,500 winner's share and $300 to start. The Thursday and Friday winners' share includes an extra $100 from Pro Tire and Saturday's feature winner cut includes an extra $500 from K&W Truck Repair.

A sweep of the weekend's three feature events will be worth $5,700, while making the feature cut all three nights will net a minimum of $500. Non-qualifiers receive $50 on both Thursday and Friday and then $150 on Saturday.

McKenzie Racing has also offered up a $100 bonus for the Hard Charger in Saturday night's feature event as well a $100 bonus to Saturday's first non-qualifier.

All three nights of competition will be conducted as single night events. As such, competitors may opt to compete on one night, two nights or all three nights. The $75 entry fee received or postmarked prior to September 15 covers any and all nights of competition.

Travis Senter, Jr., of Osceola, AR, topped the inaugural version of the 600 Nationals in 2006 and then took a second title in 2008. Jerrod Wilson took the winner's cut back to Tulsa, OK, in 2007, while Del City, Oklahoma's Jason Lair took the weather-postponed Fourth Annual win earlier this year.

The Fifth Annual 600 Nationals will also include the Landers Harley Davidson Mini Sprints on both Thursday and Friday nights.
