Master of the Magic City Showdown Finale

After recording a top ten finish on night one of the Magic City Showdown at Nodak Speedway, Craig Dollansky took the Aggressive Hydraulics paint scheme back to the track for the finale on Saturday.

In qualifying, Dollansky turned a lap of 14.112 seconds around the highbanked 3/8-mile which was 12th fastest among the 33 competitors signed in for action. Starting on the outside pole of heat race four, Dollansky got a strong start and out to the lead. A few cautions in the 10-lap event would not hinder the Big Game Treestands Maxim as Dollansky charged to the heat victory and into the dash. With an inversion of six drawn for the dash, Dollansky just missed the invert and started from the seventh position where he would maneuver his way up to 4th by the finish. "We were able to win the heat and get into the dash where we got a real good start but we had no brakes what so ever in the dash but we were able to get up to 4th," said Craig.

In the 30-lap main event, Dollansky was scheduled to start in the 4th spot but after changing the master cylinder he was late to staging and pushed back a row. "My crew chief Kirk Dewease was able to get a master cylinder from Ben Gregg and we got that changed before the feature," commented Dollansky. As the action got underway Dollansky piloted the sharp Aggressive Hydraulics #7 paint scheme into the top five. As the race went on the track started to lay rubber down with seven laps to go. After a caution came out with six laps to go, 'The Crowd Pleaser' used a strong restart to take the third position by the exit of turn two and close in on Steve Kinser for second. As the laps were winding down, Dollansky made his way around Kinser and then past Kinser's son, Kraig, to assume the lead with three laps to go. The final caution of the night came with three to go for both Kinser's who blew right rear tires. Nursing a left rear tire that was losing pressure, Dollansky used a strong restart to shoot out to the lead and hold on for his third victory of the year. "We took off on the start and got going and were running top five as the track started to become abrasive. The laps were winding down and we were trying to take care of the tires. We had a restart with a few laps to go there and were able to capitalize on it. My team did a good job getting the car fixed and back out there and it was a great win for Aggressive Hydraulics being the primary sponsor for the event, along with Big Game Treestands and Karavan Trailers," said Dollansky.

Next on the World of Outlaws schedule is a trip back to Canada for the 4th Annual Oil City Cup at Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta.
