My turn...

Did Hoosiers fail from time to time? YES

Do Goodyears fail at a higher rate than the Hoosiers did? ABSOLUTELY!

Paul's tire did not explode because it wore out, the track was not even close to being condusive enough to wear a tire out in a heat race. The Goodyears are failing because of flaws in the side wall, bead, tread, etc. The new Goodyear tires have been getting complaints all year and it's not something that should just be brushed aside as bad luck. These new tires seem to be cheaply made (in Mexico from what I've read) by a large tire maker that is looking to make profits. I feel bad for Paulie last night, he would have had a shot at top 10 points if disaster hadn't struck.

that is quite possibly the most ignorant statement ive ever heard in my life, I am pretty sure i went to the factory in Akron and did not cross the border and did not see any donkey shows. Is it not possible that he ran over something??

What tire did he run in the main? I thinkit was a GY

Somebody may have already answered this as I don't have the patience to read to the end, but for those of you who hadn't noticed and are acting like everyone is "choosing" to run Goodyears, the drivers are required to run Goodyear for their right rear tire at the Nationals this year. If you need a reason why, look at the name of the event.

It is the 50th Annual GOODYEAR Knoxville Nationals.

Money is everything in our beloved sport.

I saw few left rears blow at knoxville earlier this year and it made me think about how uncommon it used to be to see a problem like that but it seems like the problem went away for the most part. Maybe a bad batch of tires?

Lets see if the goodyears are a factor tonight. I think it depends on if the track lays rubber and when Cappy throws the yellow to refuel.
