Hate to be a killjoy, but the cars are ugly. (Although I'm sure the diecast/collectibles residual sales will be high). The cars are NOT "gold leaf" like originally reported, they are "gold chrome" which is hideous, not to mention HIGHLY reflective, which could pose a problem for other drivers, if they run the heats while the sun is still up....

Are you freakin' kidding me? With all of the good looking cars out there, and these two chrome turds is what's got you excited?

I kind of like them. Meyers on the other hand is BORING. He should have kept his normal paint scheme, it's much more exciting. Looking forward to seeing Dollansky's unveiled.

The guy comes up with two gold cars for the 50th nationals and you want to raise a fuss about it. I think Tony should be horse whipped for bringing those two cars. Anybody with any kind of brain would know that they are to shinny. They will be DQ from any race before dark.
I do not care if between they they have won almost half of them

All I said was the cars were ugly to me....in MY opinion, which I'm entitled to. Most of you on here don't know me from Adam, but of all the race cars, street cars, go karts, trucks I've owned, built, and been consulted on, I know cars that look "right". These cars leave a LOT to be desired, as far as I'm concerned. Doesn't make my opinion the only one that counts. If you like em, great. I just don't.
I'm a big, big fan of Tony's and Steve's. I also have a lot of respect for Donny, although not so much a fan of his. In my opinion the gold midget Tony drove at the Chili Bowl a few years ago was a much, much better looking car, but the body on that car was painted gold, not this chrome/gold stuff.
Either way, to each his own, and I hope Steve has a good run this weekend.
