1) doesn't look like much of a cushion to go above with all the dust. That might've been the fastest way around, riding the wall.
2) GP on the hood scoop or just eerily similar?

Option #2.
Beneath the drawing was the word "Outlaw".
I-70 with dirt was TRULY something to see.
They had several double shows with sprints and MARA midgets. Doty always did double duty and I think he won every one of those midget shows.
Then there was the battle between Wolfgang (Wiekert 29 or Gambler 18, can't remember) and Kauffman (Hamilton 77) both sporting BIG BLOCKS. WOW!!!
If you never saw I-70 with dirt, you've never seen banks!

Did they make him clean that wall? The bottom part of the right top wing looks like it has a slant to it, like it was purposely built like that. Probably just the picture but does look odd.
Adding $6 trillion of debt in his 1st term and now if
elected again he wouldn't have to worry about an
electorate in 2016 so the sky is the limit. And his EPA
would continue to put the screws to oil drilling and
mining for coal. Can you say bankruptcy.

I would love to find some old footage from I-70 that was THE BEST track i ever went to
that wing bent that way may be from just pure speed that place was scary fast!

If I'm not mistaken, I-70 is setting idle. Too bad someone doesn't take the place over and cover that damned pavement with dirt again. Guess I'll keep playing powerball and hoping.
I live less than 45 minutes away from it and have only been there three times through all the years it was pavement, twice before the dirt, and once since it was repaved. While it was dirt, I probably didn't miss over one or two events. Hell, the late models even put on a great show when it was dirt.

I always enjoyed I-70 and seemed to run pretty well there.
The only time I ever ran a midget was at I-70. There was a 2 day race there with the spint cars and midgets. I was driving Ron Pack's #4a and I borrowed a steering gear from Wolfgang, who was in Weikert's #29. I won the first night in the sprint car, I think Wolfie finished 2nd. On Saturday night, I think I finished 3rd in the sprint car, can't remember who won???
But I do remember I won 3 out the 4 midget mains and ran 2nd in the other that weekend driving the Shrader #20!

Nope, it was Brad. See above. Admittedly, my memory may not be exact, but I'm close. LOL!
Thanks for chiming in Brad. You are one of the truly nice guys in this sport.

My apologies....I stand corrected. I had never heard of Brad running a Midget before. (and thanks for clearing that up, Brad) I learn new stuff everyday. But I was very familiar with the Jack Schroeder, Dygert Seating #20 Midget. My older brother helped "stooge" for Jack occasionally.I remember he had many guys in the seat over the years like Kenny Schrader, Danny Frye,Jr., Johnny Parsons,Jr. and others, but did not know of Brad's efforts.....
