You could put Schatz in solitery convinement all year and then take him out for the Nationals and he could win it. He has been dominate at Knoxville over the last few years as we all know, and not just at the Nationals week. He did run subpar earlier this year during the hall of fame weekend but when the Nationals come around.. Schatz will be back, unfortuantely. I'm not a Schatz fan but I'm smart enough to know you don't keep one of the sports best down during the biggest weekend.

If Joey Saldana does not win will we have to look at his sour puss face on the podium if he finishes in the top 3 ???? Just finish 4th and be done with it Joey .... WOW !!!! Not very professional for your big time sponsor, Budweiser ..... And these sprint car drivers can't figure out why they can't get sponsors to stay with them .... Good luck to everyone at the Nationals !!! Let's all hope for good racing and hope no one gets hurt this year. Thanks !!!!

Yes, when Joey finishes 2nd or 3rd you will have to look at his "sour puss" face again. I seriously doubt Budweiser is upset that Saldana is discouraged over the fact he narrowly missed out on winning the biggest event (by far) in the business. If anything, Budweiser should enjoy the fact their driver is such a perfectionist. I'd be shocked if any of the sponsors that have had revolving doors directed the constant change due to "unprofessionalism" on the podium.
Come to think of it, I wonder how many Knoxville Nationals runner-up or third place finishers have been excited at the victory lane celebration. When you really think about it, Saldana's "sour puss" face is no different than the norm.

Hate to admit it, but I agree too. And I also disagree that 50 laps opens the door for a suprise winner. IMO the extra laps plays right into Schatz hands.... but perhaps Kinser now having access to TSR info (Schatz recent Knoxville set-ups) evens the playing field a bit. I certainly agree the extra laps opens the door for someone to win from deep in the field, but I still believe this is the Schatz show till someone proves otherwise.
