Runner-Up at Ohsweken Opener

After racing in Quebec on Tuesday, Craig Dollansky and the Big Game Treestands #7 team headed west a few hours to Ontario for their annual show at Ohsweken Speedway.

With a strong field of 36 competitors signed in for racing, Dollansky turned a lap of 12.596 seconds around the 3/8-mile track which would be critical as the top sixteen in qualifying were inverted for heat race compettion. Because of the inversion, the Karavan Trailers Maxim would start on the pole of heat race four where Dollansky would go on to take the victory and earn a spot in the dash. Rounding out the starting field for the six lap dash from the tenth starting spot, 'The Crowd Pleaser' had no where to go but forward as he charged past drivers and bettered his starting position for the feature by five positions.

In the 30-lap A-Main, Dollansky started from the fifth spot. A stretch of green flag action saw the Aggressive Hydraulics sponsored sprinter continue to run in the fifth spot until lap 16 when a caution came out for Kraig Kinser and Jason Meyers who were running in the top five, moving Dollansky up to the third spot for the double-file restart. A good restart allowed Dollansky to move into the second position and set his sights on leader Jason Sides who was setting a fast past. As the laps winded down, Dollansky was able to gain significant ground on the #7s of Sides on the white flag lap but had to settle for a very strong runner-up finish. "We had a vibration that we got fixed before the dash and were able to make it past a few cars there. In the feature we got into second and just ran out of laps, we ran Sides down pretty good but would have liked to see some more laps", commented Dollansky who earned his third straight podium finish at Ohsweken.

The Big Game Treestands #7 team closes out the month of July on Saturday with the finale of the Six Nations Showdown at Ohsweken Speedway.
