What gear is recommended for a modified at 81 speedway... decent 383ci. w/9in.
Is the track tacky or dry most of the time..?
Is it ruff or smooth.?
Is it a big 3/8's??

the new configuratoin is a small 3/8,not sure on the modified but we ran 6.20 or 6.33 in a stock car and 6.85 in the mini stock w/15" tires.last saturday night it got black in the groove but still had lots of moisture on the cushion.81 has some of the best 2 and 3 wide racing around.track is always smooth and fast.there is always a big crowd and the announcers are great,very entertaining place to go to the races.they run 3 different groups of modifieds starting with the rookie mods,aaa mods and the regular mods,all running the same rules just different levels of driving experience.but the rookies and the aaa will rival any other tracks regular modified class.good luck and i think you'll have a great time.
