TMS U.S. National Dirt Championship Registration Now Open!

Ft. Worth TX (7/16/10) by
DarinShort.com. The U.S. National Dirt Track Championship at Texas Motor Speedway’s Dirt Track will take place on September 16-18, 2010; and online registration is now available.

By clicking http://www.darinshort.com/dtc.html all competing race teams can take advantage of this convenience. At this special registration page, there is a link for each race division to preregister their team, purchase advance 2-day pit passes, reserve a paved pit space and sign up for practice night.

Teams can pay using any major credit or debit card and all transactions are secured through PayPal, an eBay company that has over 78 million active accounts. And you can now make multiple purchases on the registration section within the same transaction, which will save you time and typing.

Printable event schedules, rules and more can also be found at the link listed above. And if you would rather enter by mail, there is an event flyer at the above link that you can print, fill out and mail your payment.

Modified and Limited Modified drivers will have two provisional’s added to their championship features – but will be drawn from pre-entered drivers, so don't miss out on this second chance! Early registration ends on September 3.

And remember that if you need racing parts, fuel or Hoosier tires for this event, you should contact
http://www.SmileysRacing.com as they will be on hand to keep racers on track at this event. If your choice of racing tires is American Racer, http://www.DayMotorsports.com will have them at the track to meet your needs. If you place your order ahead of time, these vendors will deliver it to the track, thus saving shipping expense.

Grandstand tickets for this Texas-sized event are just $10 on Friday and $15 on Saturday and will be available at the gate on race night. Hot laps are 5pm on Friday (races at 6pm) and races are at 6pm on Saturday.

Don’t miss the climax of the 2010 racing season with the U.S. National Dirt Track Championship at Texas Motor Speedway’s Dirt Track – for a weekend of great racing action at family-affordable prices!

Event update:

About 1/2 of the concrete slabs for this event are reserved by drivers, I would guess that they will sell out within the next two weeks or so. If you're needing one for your rig (and remember, you can park it for the weekend and leave it if you'd like), click the following link to get yours reserved:

http://www.darinshort.com/dtc.html

Thanks and have a great weekend!

I'm not exactly sure where this summer has gone, but it's now just over 2 weeks until the early registration deadline for this event; which is September 3.

Reminder that in the modifieds and limited modifieds, two provisionals each will be drawn to join the feature line up coming from those drivers that have pre-registered.

At this time, concrete padded pit spaces are still available, and they will be removed from the registration page when the supply has been spoken for.

Please click: www.darinshort.com/dtc.html for complete details including an online shopping cart style payment processing system, which makes multiple registrations and transactions a quick and easy process.

Time is quickly running out for drivers wishing to take advantage of the Early Registration promotion for this event, as the promotion ends on September 3rd, which is two weeks before the running of the event.

Online registrations received by this date receive the pre-registration discount and will automatically be entered in a second chance drawing to start the feature event in the modifieds and limited modified divisions.

Two drivers names will be drawn prior to each feature event that didn't make it in and will tag their starting field, which pays $750 to start for the modifieds and $400 to start for the limited modifieds; so don't miss out on this great offer!

Please click http://www.darinshort.com/dtc.html to get pre-registered, purchase pit passes, paved pit parking spaces and complete event information.

As of Tuesday morning (Aug. 31) there are now less than 30 concrete padded reserved pit spaces available for this event.

If you are needing one for your hauler, I would highly suggest getting entered within the next couple of days, as they will probably be all gone by the time the 9/3 pre-registration discount promotion ends.

Also a reminder that only those that pre-enter by 9/3 (either postmark or online) will be eligible for the two added Championship feature starting spots in both the LTD. Modifieds and Modifieds, which pay $400 and $750 to start, respectively.

Please click http://www.darinshort.com/dtc.html for complete event info, rules and to get your team registered - the race is now just over 2 weeks away!

TMS OFFERS CARLOAD NIGHTS AT SEPT. 17-18 DTC!

Ft. Worth TX (9/2/10) by
DarinShort.com. The new theme for Texas Motor Speedway is "NO LIMITS" and to kick it off, the U.S. National Dirt Track Championship on September 17-18 will put that "NO LIMITS" motto to the test.

Here's the scoop:

-Now, instead of $10 for adult tickets to the Friday night qualifying show on September 17th, TMS is offering $10 PER CARLOAD general admission!

-Now, instead of $15 for adult tickets to the Saturday night championship show on September 18th, TMS is offering $15 PER CARLOAD general admission!

-And that's not all. There is no parking charge for general admission parking on September 17-18. And as always, there are no food/drink coolers allowed inside the gated grandstand area; but a full compliment of fresh, hot concessions are available as well as beer sales.

Although the MAIL IN pre-entry date to the U.S. Nationals Dirt Track Championship at Texas Motor Speedway has passed (must have beeen postmarked by 9/3 to be considered a pre-entry), those that wish to pre-enter ONLINE will be able to do so through Monday, September 6th and still be considered a pre-entry (eligible for the provisional drawings and discounted entry pricing).

Since there is no mail delivered Monday due to the Labor Day holiday, we decided to extend the online portion of registration through Monday while those final mail entries are in route to the TMS offices.

If you have not yet entered, and would like the ability to do so with your credit or debit card, please click the link below, select your race division and complete the payment and registration forms.

Have a safe and fun Labor Day holiday weekend; and if you haven't yet taken advantage of the pre-entry discounts available for the U.S. National Dirt Track Championships, click this link to get registered in a few simple steps:

www.darinshort.com/dtc.html

ps: there are still a few reserved, paved pit spaces still available and pre-entry numbers are nearly the same as the February race...so fans can expect another great field of drivers from several regions of the country!

THANK YOU to the great field of drivers that registered early for the U.S. National Dirt Track Championship at Texas Motor Speedway to be contested on September 17-18.

Early registration is now closed, and the modified and limited modified drivers that had pre-registered are all eligible for the two added provisionals to each of their championship features.

However, if there are any drivers that would like to enter the race online at race week prices, you can do so through this Saturday, September 11th. Note that those entries are not considered pre-entries and they will not be eligible for the provisional starter drawings. (Also the case with any mail in entries postmarked after September 3.)

The 10-day forecast is just now coming into play, and current predictions show 90 degrees and partly cloudy on practice day. We will continue to monitor the weather as the race date approaches.

Thank you once again to the teams for pre-entering this event, and the target goal for pre-entries was not only achieved, but exceeded.

For those that would still like to enter online, please complete your registration at the following link by Saturday, September 11th:

http://www.darinshort.com/dtc.html

That information is now not publicized until race day.

I can tell you that you can expect similar car counts to past TMS dirt track events. All concrete pads have been sold out for about a week and the only official number I can give you is that there are over 150 paid pre-entries total.

180 teams practiced at TMS last night in preparation for this weekend's big U.S. National Dirt Track Championship.

So grab your neighbors and family members and stuff your vehicle full and get in for $10 tonight (per carload, no parking fee), and $15 Saturday night (per carload, no parking fee); as you are going to see a PACKED PIT AREA of drivers from ALL OVER. More than 200 drivers are already registered.

Again, no outside food or drink allowed through the gated grandstand area, but a full complement of hot food, drinks and beer sales are available in the grandstand area.

If you are a race team not entered, but would like to show up and race, you absolutely CAN do so. Registration is available at the track when you arrive. Come out and mix it up with some of the best drivers in the country!

Hot laps at 5pm tonight, racing at 7; no hot laps tomorrow, with racing starting at 6pm.

Last night in the U.S. National Dirt Track Championship at Texas Motor Speedway over 100 Modifieds and over 110 Limited Modifieds battled it out on qualifying night.

Tonight the O'Reilly SUPR Late Models join the program with a complete show culminating with a 40-lap, $3,500 to win Championship Feature event, bringing the total weekend car count near 250.

There are no hot laps tonight and the first race is set to hit the track at 6pm.

Tonight is last chance races (no heats) for the Limited Modifieds and Modifieds, with their Championship Features running 30 and 40 laps respectively.

Tickets for tonight's races are just $15 PER CARLOAD and there is no parking charge. Reminder, no outside food or drink is allowed through the gated grandstand area, but a full compliment of hot food, drinks and beer are available.

For complete event details please click:
www.darinshort.com/dtc.html and www.TexasMotorSpeedway.com - and grab your neighbors and family and come out to the Championship Night of racing tonight - it's supposed to be great weather for racing!

THANK YOU to all of the 250+ race teams, vendors, track workers, race officials and great group of race fans that were a part of the inaugural U.S. National Dirt Track Championship this past weekend at The Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway.

It was a safe weekend on the track and the energetic crowd was well behaved.

The final counts were right at 36 O'Reilly SUPR Late Models, 105 Modifieds and 115 Limited Modifieds.

On a personal note, I also appreciate the drivers taking the time to get pre-registered online. This massively helps the track be as organized as possible, so they can anticipate racer's needs when they arrive at the speedway.

Remember, the AAA Texas 500 NASCAR weekend takes place on November 4-7, 2010; and the next scheduled event at the Dirt Track will be held on March 3-5, 2011, with the running of the Texas World Dirt Championship.

For event tickets, click http://www.TexasMotorSpeedway.com and information will be released here during the off season regarding the Texas World Dirt Championship...until then, have a great Fall racing season and thank you once again!
