Only 23 cars.
Not too familiar with 410 racing in Wisconsin but I thought this was the home of the IRA?
Sad turnout.

Cedar Lake is WISSOTA territory... not IRA.

23 cars at CLS is not bad. They typically get 24-26 sprints for the Outlaw shows there. The IRA is based like 5+ hours southeast of there.

Cedar Lake is missing some of their locals like Jerry Richert, Jr. Travis Whitney, John Sernett, Brad Barickman, & Leigh Thomas

A lot of those guys have been to IRA shows. Difference being IRA don't make you buy an expensive membership to race.

I'm surprised "Uncle Teddy" never came up with that idea!

Like someone mentioned, the majority of the IRA teams are based 5+ hours away in eastern Wisconsin, CLS is located near the Wisconsin/Minnesota border. I heard that Balog wrecked a car or he would have been there. Richert was in the Tatnell pit, Sernett doesn't run with the Outlaws, don't know what Travis had going but he runs a very limited schedule with the IRA as well. I didn't expect any of the eastern Wisconsin IRA teams with work the next day and never second guess our local guys who run on tight budgets.
We have seen up to 30+ for the CLS show over the years but the economy is tight and our local Sprint Car racing isn't anything on the scale of what it is in other parts of the country. No surprises on the number of cars and the racing was good. We got hammered with a couple of heavy downpours so it was admirable that they were able to get the show in. I'm got 10# shoes full of mud sitting down by the entryway that illustrate what a mess the infield was. ;-)

Is the pie plate half full...or half empty?
So Golden State at Santa Maria had 15 cars and I'm sure a few were 360s. The All Stars in W. VA had 19. So the car counts are down for the traveling 410 wing shows.

What happened to Sam Hafertepe? Seen him in the pits, but he didn't race.

dr7 - it said on the dirtvision clicker that Hafertepe lost a motor and scratched, as they do not have a back up.

GSC hasn't been able to field a "full-field" for some time now. Didn't think I would ever see that!
Also, to me it seems strange that 410 car owners wouldn't complete in a big race in their home state.
