Where were all the 360's?

Twin features at Knoxville and they suffered their lowest 360 car count of the season (24) only 15 with the sprint invaders?

Sorry, I didn't get things updated quicker. It was a short night, but a long drive home. Everything is posted on the Sprint Invader website, www.sprintinvaders.com. I definitely don't have Bill's writing ability, but you can get the results.

Hope to see everyone at Bloomfield and Donnellson this Thursday and Friday respectively.

Congratulations to Bobby, Byron and his crew. It is good to see Bobby back healthy and running strong after his bad crash and concussion. And yes, he did sit out for a couple of weeks which was smart and considering the precautions from a concussion.

Mincer's muffler fell off before the star finish line, and when he pulled in to inspection it wasn't there either, of course...........does that make him illegal since the rules state that you must have a muffler?.......Not trying to take anything away from Bobby, just an observation............

if you seen all this happen why didn't you report it then? I'm sure if the officials would have seen the muffler fall off he would been dqd after all 3 cars go to tech after the feature and im sure mufflers really are not the priority. ever seen a spintcar muffler? not much there to muffle anything. just saying injection stack size and cubic inches in the tech area mean more than any muffler probally just an honeset mistake im sure bobby or any other driver would agree

I didn't see it fall off but me and the crew were told in victory lane by the officials that it fell off after he passed finished line and starting into turn 1 and that we were lucky because if it had been before the line, Bobby would have been dq'd. The track flagman also said same thing that it fell off after the finish line. The rule states you must have muffler DURING COMPETITION. The comp director interpreted that to mean that while he was racing and it fell off then he would have been dq'd. Bobby's race was over (hence, not in competition) when the muffler came off according to comp director ruling.

Really?

PS: If a winning car crashes in turn 1 after the checkers and completely junks the car/motor. How does that get tech'd or do they automatically get dq'd? Just a question...

Im not an official and don't claim to be or want to be. Im sure that is not an easy job...it seems to me that the rules are not the same for every body...but whatever.........no need for everyone to get defensive about my observation, unless you are feeling like you got away with one.......I have talked to several unofficial spectators that unofficially saw the muffler fall off on the white flag lap and another car hit it and knock it past the start finish line.....but it doesn't matter.......congrats on the win it was a great race either way.......

Not sure why I'm bothering to post a reply since I'm basically talking to a computer but...

I'm not defensive about it, just setting the record straight when it seems you're trying to stir up crap.  We don't have to 'get away with anything' because we don't have anything to hide or do anything that needs hidden.  I said what we were told by officials because from the back stretch trailers we can't see the front stretch. wink  And ultimately, it's the officials decision and two of them said they seen it fall off so I'll go with their observation instead of "unofficial spectators" who *may* have a biased opinion.  I think our officials do a pretty good job. Do I always agree with them....hell no.  But I'm a race car wrenching-competitive-obnoxious race girl who happens to be biased for my guy!

congrats on the win it was a great race either way.......

Thanks! See ya at Donnellson big guy (or girl since I don't know who you are)...
