Was wondering if anyone can update us with the results from last nights race at Jacksonville Speedway (Jacksonville, IL). Who won? and How many cars were there? Thanks!

Jim Moughan won. 17 Cars in attendance. Good battle early between Joey Moughan and Ben Wagoner with Wagoner taking command throughout most of the race. Jim Moughan got by Wagoner late in the race after the two had been battling through some lapped traffic.

Interesting that the Farmington cars just don't tow up there any more...
A few of the J'ville cars come down to Farmington though

It would be nice to see more Farmington drivers at J-ville, but i would imagine that racing that far away on Fri night, is probably harder for them, due to work schedules etc... than it is for J-ville drivers to make the haul to Farmington, on a Sat night.

The payout at Jville is the biggest issue with no Farmington guys coming up. That 1,200 to win purse has been that way for a long time, too long. Gas has gone up, everything has gone up except the purse. The Leon Smith show, 200 from 11th to 18th is a joke. They should of paid a little better throughout the field IMO. Thats what will get more guys to show. Not everyone has a chance to win the big money so if the payout is better throughout the field more guys will show. 17 cars is pretty sad for the Leon Smith memorial. If the fairboard would of stayed with the Wests there would of been plenty of Farmington guys there every night. There was something in the works that everyone would of been really happy with if they were a driver, owner and fan of sprint cars. Also this year the track prep hasnt been the greatest. Friday night there was dust coming up during slow warm ups. WTF? When guys cant race at a track they are less likely to show up as well. If anyone was there last year that Shaheen show was the best ever. We had all the big names there and it was a great purse with awesome racing. I dont see another 7,200 to win, 400 to start, 22,000 total purse again for the Shaheen Show this year.

Please explain to everybody why it would of been better if the Wests were still the promoters? Also what was in the works for the sprints? I have not been happy with the racing surface myself, but the people working for Bobby are 10 times better than half the clowns they had out there last year! And them people are not back this year! Why? Way better racing surface. The Wests werent afraid to put pay the racers well. What was in the works is pointless now because it wont happen since the fairboard made the change. Glad you are happy with the new workers there now.

I'd be interested in knowing what was supposed to be in the works, for the sprints this year, if the Wests were still in charge.
I think Bobby and Cathy, and their crew, are doing an outstanding job with the track, this year.
