This is the kind of thread that happens when we get too much rain.
"I'd pay $15 to watch a sprint car sit still."

Yes. Rain is the anti-fun. Ha ha.
On a side note: this is an interesting thread but I'm going to choose to hold my tongue.

I don't know about the depths of ugliness. Don't see where it came much close. I think all opinions were respected as they should be. But the other JD had a good point that there isn't much sense in all this talk of politics here. I think it's alright every once in awhile so I stated my thoughts and am done with it. I'm thinkin more on the racing we'll see tomorrow night and the PERFECT weather to go along with it. Looks like the wind may be a little excessive, but it's a better to have a lil wind than a lot of rain and cold temps.
I'm stoked about it as I'm sure all of you are, especially cheese as he gets his chance to get his car dirty. On that note........cheese you may want to watch out for the 41 car. lol.

Thats the rumor on the street...I think they found the problem with his car though.
I just hope that everything stays together and I make the A. It feels like I haven't raced in 10 years.

Nobody typed anything is why it did not go to the depths of ugliness, but a few thought about it but in there posts said they would not or leave it alone. Politics are to volatile in this day and age , so yey I think it COULD have went to the depths of ugliness.
CCC you don't see where it came close, Again Youth & Optimism is a great thing.

The dems voted for the war too, and they all did so on the same information that was handed down from our intelligence operatives. Has anyone ever thought that maybe the people in our gov't know a little bit more about this war and everything that is happening than we as average citizens do? Now I would like to say that we are in a scary situation right now, and I don't agree with everything that has happened with this administration. With that said I'm just really tired of everyone blaming everything on the President and VP. It's like people really believe that they are TRYING to ruin our county. Now I have to go, I have a pothole on my street that I would like to call the news and blame George W. Bush for.

I would really encourage everyone(Republican and Democrat) on here to check out Ron Paul. He calls a spade a spade and he has been doing it for years. He understands why our country was established and says that we must follow the CONSTITUTION! What a crazy idea! Just take five minutes and see what he is all about!

As a Democrat, I liked Paul except for his opinion on abortion. Instead we're left with crazy McCain, quasi-Republican Hillary and Barak. If he wins the nomination, I'm going for Barak. At least he's a breath of semi-fresh air.

YOU REALLY NEED TO DELETE THIS THREAD. You violate your own rules.
When was the last time any of you were oversea? Most likely NEVER. Try going to China. I just spent 30 days over there. I have a book written by China that is taught in their school. They teach to overthrow everyone, you have no opinion. Try going to Eastern Europe. Try going to Russia. You would't make it. I take that back. You would make it to a life time in jail. Just because you voiced your opinion.
Do you vote? I bet not. Do you get involved in you community? I bet not. Do you have a choice. YES you do. You have a choice because of those who served and who are.
Remember, "THE PROUD, THE BRAVE, THE FEW" YOUR NOT ONE OF THEM.
So shut the hell up. Keep you opinion to racing.
That's my Opinion and I'm stick'en to it.

My thoughts.
I love America, I fought for it in Viet Nam as a Marine, and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
Our government might not be perfect, but it is better than anyone else's.
Cheese, you are wise beyond your years.
OKCFan12, you are an idiot.
I love racing, and probably couldn't be a part of it in most other countries.
How many other countries have truely free elections?
Focus midgets ARE real racecars.
The start/finish line official or the flag man in turn two will be hit by a car this year.
Bad things happen, even to good people. Murrah building, Waco, VT, Columbine, etc. It is NOT the governments fault, and it will happen again, and the administration will get the blame for not preventing it.
Felons should be allowed in the military. Boot camp and a tour of duty will usually straighten them out.
Come to think of it, maybe that is what OKCFan12 needs.

First off this thread is OLD... over a year to be exact. I imagine 20stewart just brought it back up to the top to stir things up... looks like it worked.
Secondly, everybody has a right to their opinions and also has the right to freely express their opinions. Its called the First Amendment and of all the things protected under it, political speech receives the most protection. Just because you don't agree with someones opinion doesn't mean that they have to keep their opinions to themselves. In fact, the First Amendment is in place to protect exactly those opinions... the unpopular and controversial ones.
Its okay to debate and defend what you believe, but allow others the same freedom, even if you don't agree with them. Its called respect and it goes a long way. Ya give it... you get it.
On a side note: I find it humorous that dirttrack29&28 is making a reference to America's freedom and about how China and Russia would put someone in prison for voicing his opinion. Then he says "Shut the hell up. Keep you opinion to racing." Now that's irony for ya! Ha ha.

Sure you have your own ideals, its your freedom. But, take this into mind for one minute, Please? I served in Vietnam for 1 1/2 years and brought back two buddies that I went to high school with to bury, but, when i returned from Vietnam serving, I was spit on in the Oklahoma City Airport by people for serving in the service. How does it feel? You don't want to know..... Let's all go back into time and bring prayer back into schools and the pledge of to our flag and country..... and use the words "God Bless America" without fear of offending someone...... and English is the lanuage of the United States of America.
I'm done......
Bill

.I don't take exception to being called an idiot - many have already - and more undoubtedly will follow. thats an opinion folks can have without personally knowing someone - and everyone is free to have it. btw - I can't hold off - those 4 events you mention above were never really widely blamed on the government for not preventing them. at least not by reasonable people. where the government manages to attract blame is the shoddy and inaccurate investigations that follow.
but I take exception to the last 3 sentences you wrote. considering you don't know me at all - you have absolutely no place in commenting on my past or background - or whether or not I need straightened out - or what methods would be effective in doing so. you have no right nor place to judge that - regardless of what your background is.
