UH OH , Could this thread get ugly?

Jd my friend this could get very ugly indeed. Not sure what 20stewart is speaking of. But I hear talks about american values and stuff that just doesn't exist anymore. I think it should......obviously he does as well.......as does every INDIVIDUAL in this country. But the facts are that COLLECTIVELY America is about the biggest group of shallow, spineless idiots the world has seen in a long long time. And manipulating americans is comparable to herding sheep. The press and the government in this country love the kind of sh*t that happened yesterday in Virginia. It distracts citizens from many other more important issues.......and for the press it equals RATINGS.

We wonder why we are so hated around the world. Maybe the fact that we elect a bunch of shady upper class a-holes to go around the world making shady deals and supporting regimes that extract money from their own countries national resources..........but never invest back in their own countries infrastructure..........instead keeping the majority for the themselves while cutting our government in on a slice of the pie as well. If an oil country in the middle east instead opted to go to the best bid (China) and invested the money back in their own countries economy the US government WITH THE BACKING OF US CITIZENS would make up a bunch of bogus information about how that regime is connected to al-qaeda..........label them terrorists........and then support any faction that will attempt to overthrow that nationalist regime and cut us back in on the oil, hell we may go so far as to something completely irrational...........like............maybe invade their country on false pretenses? It has been known to happen . We the people already know of all sorts of VERY shady stuff our government has done..........but choose to put common sense aside and pretend that the government is trying to do the right thing (what we elect them to do). The US government has not done the right things nor will they try to. They will serve what is in their best 4 (or 8) year interests money wise. We also ignore all the contracts that have gone out for defense, war machines, and oil since we occupied Iraq. They have all gone to friends of the administration. They were never even up for bid. And then to top it all off the citizens have had almost all of their rights taken away. Among the most important being due process and warrants. The surveillance the NSA does is not to stop terrorism.......anyone who thinks that is a complete idiot............it's to silence homegrown opposition to the administrations policies. It is designed to silence any and all opposition to this administration........which should be impeached for about 100 different things. The sole purpose of this surveillance is to eliminate all threats to their web of lies and to scare US citiznes into submission. It seems to have worked awfully well I might add. And the "trustworthy" press won't report any of this to us until so long after the fact the citizens will be able to do nothing about it. Really makes a person wonder what incentive the press has to not tell the people of this country the truth. hmmmmmmmmm............

On to the next one............"defending freedom abroad" the only thing more pathetic than that phrase are the people that buy into it. How in the hell are we protecting freedom by fighting them over there.......YOUR GOVERNMENT DOESN'T EVEN PROTECT YOUR OWN BORDER! The sheriff of Brownsville, TX (who knows more about this than practically anyone) issued a statement along with his resignation that stated it's not whether or not terrorists could get in.........it's about how long until the next attack........because they are already here. This is perhaps the biggest clue to our governments bullsh*t. And we ignore it everyday. If we were serious about protecting this country we would protect the border. When a person takes a good look at the fact they should see the rest of the cards go down also. Everything about this country is a lie. It should be the United States of Distraction. Because everything in our day-to-day lives is just that.......a distraction from the truth. Most people agree about things being messed up.........and are pissed about it.........but the moment American Idol or Dancing with the Stars comes on........then what? they are distracted. Due to our governments willingness to wage psychological war on its own people (through the press I might add)...........most citizens will not even challenge it.........let alone question it. Come on people! the man we think is the biggest threat to our daily lives used to work for our presidents daddy, THEY created this monster. I half jokingly think that the day this president leaves office.........this country becomes just a lil bit more safe.

But don't worry too much. As we all know this country is run by big oil. And as long as it is the citizens are just sittin ducks. When the oil runs out........and this will be within the next 10 years.......maybe even the next 5.........we're screwed. All because we elect people who have their buddies oil wells more on their minds than the long term problems you or I face. Whats worse is that if we don't get off oil within the next 5 years.......our own government (which will lie and blame it on something or someone else) will cut us off from our oh so precious oil. Because in the end of things.......they care much more about having oil for their tanks than they do about you having oil for your super duper SUV.

So if a person thinks me extreme.......ok. If a person doesn't agree with me.......fine by me. We haven't had our INDIVIDUAL OPINIONS taken from us just yet. But please ...... I beg you......please vote for whoever has the best plan for fuel and energy. Because those 2 and global warming are the biggest threats we face.........not terrorism. And who knows? maybe if we find an alternative fuel that we can mass produce within the next few years..........we might just have enough oil left over for all the dirt track race cars to keep on racing forever. There's my optimism JD

So let me get this straight...Our administration right now is a big dark overlord society and everything is a conspiracy. Also everything they do is wrong. And from what I've read on here, if you talk bad about them you will be thrown in jail for life for no reason (since everyone on here has been). And every other countries' government is perfect, and they hate us for pure reasons, not just because their religious leaders tell them to kill every American/infidel that is around. Don't forget that our government is in shambles since we are in a depression and all right now with the gas prices being ridicules (see Jimmy Carter and Reagonomics). Give me a break, people talking about being persuaded by the media when they have been persuaded just as much by different sources. Our country is fine, the people fighting for our country are great, there hasn't been another foreign terrorist attack on us since 2001, and its NOT like they aren't trying to. It is because some stuff that the administration is doing is actually working (wow, no way).

And global warming, oh don't get me started on that. That is the biggest farce in the history of this planet. When your GEOLOGY PROFESSOR IN COLLEGE says that its not true, it's probably not true. He is one of the top geologist (geology is the study of the Earth) in the country and he doesn't agree with it. Every 10,000 years the world goes through a change in orbit, that change in orbit either brings an ice age or makes the Earth heat up. Right now the Earth is heating up. It's natural! Many many many natural things cause more CO2 than we do. 1 volcano puts out more than we do, weathered limestone puts out more than we do. The ocean also puts out more than we do. It is natural, no matter what we do it will not affect us. We will not run out of oil either. With the recent findings off shore and in other places the US would be fine by itself for a very very long time. Long enough to find an efficient source is alternative fuel. That's my rant.
