I just booked my hotels for all my big races this year the national open at Williams grove will be my third time. But I have never been to Eldora in the pits or Knoxville at all and I am going this year for the Kings Royal and the Knoxville Nationals. Where is the best place to sit and watch the Race at these venues from the pits?

I've got some Knoxville tickets for sale. Two adult and one child (cheap extra room).
The people who sit next to us aren't coming this year so I bought their tickets, this way we can keep the drunks out of our section.
We are up from the flag stand Section F row 33. Full view of the backstretch and no drunks around you.
I will check back here if you"re interested...

I would Mr. Mac but I always go to the pits I was just wondering if you or anyone knew where the best place to watch a race from the pits is at Eldora and Knoxville.

If you don't have a team to get you in the pits at the nationals, you will not be able to get close to the sprints. They have a section closed off between turns 1 and 2 that you will be in and the viewing in the pit area during the nationals, and it sucks. You will be better off in the stands. Pit Passes for that part of the track can be purchassed by the back gate, and are pretty spendy from what I have heard. So hope that helps.

the Grove has a pit grandstand, located outside of turn 2 coming down the back stretch. excellent view of 1-2 but not so much of 4 and the FS...the main pit rigs are tall and they block the line of sight.

Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH

Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

IMO, section "C" at Knoxville is the best. It is just past the flagstand.

No good place to watch from the pits at Eldora either. The haulers block the corners even when standing on top of the pit concession stand roof. And that area is usually packed with people beyond imagination at the Royal. Would be great if Tony could find a way to get the haulers out of the pits -- they also block the view from the stands at times.

BRR, do they still let people stand on the trailers at the Grove? That can impede your line of site. These tracks were never designed for the big rigs or people standing on them....

If you do Knoxville from the pits you won't get to see all the action. The view is definitely better from the stands. Its a little crowded but its a good time. The Lasoski Brown feud really put the crowd on its feet last year. I would imagine it was a little like being in the colliseum during the gladiator bouts. Quite a show

jsfan-I agree w/ you completely about Eldora. Get those damn haulers out of the infield. If they were not there, you could see around the whole track except the for the consesion stand in the middle(depending where your standing on the track). Have it like Knoxville. Go in and unload the haulers in the pits then get them out of there.
nsl19-Eldora just added a pit grand stand going into turn 3. You can travel back and forth to the infield bye way of the "Love Tunnel" on the back stretch. The only down fall that I can see w/ sitting in those stands, is the scoreboard might be obstructed bye those freaking billboards along the back stretch. I might try sitting there for the USAC show on the 28th. If you do decide to sit in the Main seating. I would try Turn 1 & 3. The way the dust rolls out of the track, those are the best areas to get the least amout of dust in ur beer. Now w/ this whole new track condition going on who knows what it'll be like this year.

NS, actually I always go into the pits at Knoxville for the Nats. I found last year the section in turns 3 and 4 very pretty good considering the big event that it was, as you have the big screen in front of you also.

But don't you have to have a ticket to get in the stands during the K-Ville Nats??? Didn't think you could just stroll up and flash an armband and get in...
